whats the difference between micro ATX and ATX?

    whats the difference between micro ATX and ATX?

    as said in the title is it just smaller or something does ATX have more power or something i'm curious

    whats the difference between micro ATX and ATX?

    They're different Motherboard sizes, so Micro ATX is smaller than just 'ATX'. Personally if you want a standard sized desktop computer, go for an ATX Motherboard. Most cases today are made to support ATX Motherboards too.

    Agreed, and to add there are fewer drive bays and expansion slots than the regular sided ATX motherboards.

    Btw, don't think that ATX>mATX. It depends on your situation. If you are just going to be using 2 sticks of ram, 1 graphics card, and maybe like 1 PCI slot, mATX might be for you. If you are on a budget, mATX is probably for you. It just has less features.

    Just be sure the mATX board has sata 3 and usb 3 (if you want it).
