A few suggestions

Why not install an actual iTrader feedback system?

How about some sort of verification for sellers, like ID or phone verified? and a separate forum for verified sellers?

Another suggestion is to add a paid system for sticky threads, bumping, bold topics etc...this will eliminate alot of bump spamming.

Edit: Another suggestion is to add a subforum for cd keys sales. Many of them are listed along with accounts and other items

 

Not entirely sure what iTrader is, I think it's some sort of feedback system where you leave feedback for trades and such. In which case this was already discussed and denied a few months back.

I think this is already in development by Richard (the owner) and Matthew, although it's only in early phases and they'll need to look at everything beforehand to ensure it's not abused or cheated.

This has been suggested before, it's been denied so far as all the big gold traders would just buy them and have an unfair advantage over everyone else.

A new theme is planned when the forum is upgraded to vBulletin 4.

 

From what I understand a feedback system will never happen.

I believe Matthew is working on some kind of verification process/rank.

Not sure were I stand on the paid stickies. I think it would only benefit the large gold selling businesses and that's about all so don't think it's necessary unless sythe isn't getting enough money currently from donations to keep the site running which I don't think is the case.

 

This will be denied straight away, already been suggested countless times in various forms.

 

IMO lumping all the CD keys in one subforum would be a mess. It's more logical to keep them with their respective game market sections

 

Seller verification seems useful, that's about it for your suggestions though in my opinion.

 

how about OP reads the DNS list. vb4 is the name of the game, if not its DNS.

 

True but earlier in the irc Mathew was talking about some system he was working on in order for verification.

If anything verification would just make it seem that users would be more trustworthy.

I would be up for verification seeing as I have nothing to hide.

 

Just saying, the iTrader system has always been knocked back as the current vouching system just works. It'd take forever to change over or everyone would need to start from scratch.

Does anyone know if we're getting vB4 yet

 

1. Vouching works just as well if not better than a potential iTrader feedback system, plus you can always recover a vouch if a database goes wrong, unlike an online cloud-like thing.
2. The verification wouldn't help much and would strictly limit the market based on those who don't have phone or means of verification.
3. This will saturate the stickies and the big people would buy it out.
4. New theme in Vb4, a contest is going on right now/has happened (Never paid attention to it)

and maybe have WTB as a separate section from WTS

 

No to iTrader, verified sellers, no to paid system, yes to new theme and I'm gonna go ahead and say that CD sales aren't active enough to deserve their own section, and that it makes sense to keep them in their respective markets instead of just having one big ol' random-CD-keys section
