Looks to be a client release

As a RuneScape player, you will find that RSBuddy can analyse and assist with your gameplay, share and publish your progress, let you communicate and compete with others, and much, much more.

“Much, much more?!” A lot of development at RSBuddy will be community driven: Those who are interested will be able to make use of our various free tools and resources to develop plugins and services for anyone. This will provide a huge open platform for developers to experiment with, which we’re excited about supporting.

Our key aim is to provide this helpful software while maintaining a fair and secure environment for everyone. We've been working with many players and developers to produce our first public release of the client and platform for the first week of December. Today our closed beta testing has extended to our upcoming network, so we’ve opened up some of our forums for discussion. Guidelines and further announcements on these boards will be developed as we prepare for our release and check out any questions and feedback.

I'm looking forward to their new client, kind of tired of SK.

 

I can't post yet because the damn site won't send me my activation email. fuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuu

 

At the bottom of their announcement it reads, "Happy legitting, The RSBuddy Team." This basically confirms that they've made their own personal Runescape client.

You don't need to activate it to post.

 

They're legitimate now, that's the only difference. They shifted from a bot based community to a client based community which are polar opposites.

 

i would find it funny if they released a fake bot so when people log on using the new client they will auto be banned

Wouldn't trust it as far as I can throw it, and since it's not tangible to begin with...

haven't seen rsbuddy in quite a while.

 

lol shows how much you know about the site. I tried posting, pming and emailing admins, etc, and every time it told me I wasn't allowed to do "that action" until I was activated. I ended up changing the email for a 3rd time and FINALLY it worked.

 

Yeah I heard it was a fan client similar to swiftkit. Im not going to download.

 

Just my superstition but I mean hey.. they could be logging the ips of everyone who clicked on it and then (idk if this is possible) but tracked a way to find the sites you've visited therefore if they see a lot of cheating dedication like sythe cheating section for example then thats how botnuke works? I mean just my 2 cents

 

Let me point out all the problems with that theory:

1. In their registration ToS, they state that any account information such as passwords, emails, IPs, et cetera is confidential and is not to be shared with any 3rd party company or their affiliates.

2. You can't track any further back than the site they were linked to RSBuddy from. Even then if you follow my guide in the Free Runescape Guides section on HTTP Refferer, there's nothing to worry about because it blocks them from accessing that information.

3. Bot Nuke is already stated to be similar to the first Bot Nuke last year, in the kind of effect it gives. It will break 98% of the bots in-game, and leave the same types of bots that were available after the first nuke: Color, OpenGL, and *maybe* DynaMac for reflection (if the Dev is correct in his predictions). Epicbot & Powerbot are also being tried in court for Civil and Criminal wrongs soon, probably sometime after the Optimus Nuke. Imagine the new botting community; These are the bots that would be left (according to what we know so far):

RareBot - BROKEN
DynaMac - *MAYBE* WORKING - REFLECTION
Simba - WORKS - COLOR
Scar - WORKS - COLOR
VeloxBot -WORKS - COLOR
RuneDream/DreamRS/JBot - WORKS - COLOR
TriBot - WORKS - OGL/COLOR
ConvinBot - WORKS - OGL/COLOR
RiD (Robotz in Disguise) -WORKS - COLOR

As you can see, it will be a mad dash to one of the 5 color, 2 OGL, & 1 reflection bot left, especially with Powerbot & Epicbot having such large userbases to disseminate. Things will be interesting, especially if someone has the balls to try and make a new injection client that actually functions well enough to gain a large userbase, given that EB & PB were brought to court.

 

Its a lure to ban all botters hur hur hur. But on a serious note, if rsbuddy does come back I would be really hesitant to use it being as Jacmob works for Jagex now. Who know what he could be planning.

 

Yeah, we just changed it. It doesn't work with custom @live emails. Not sure why, but I believe it's fixed now.
