Bans?

Has anyone been banned yet? Anyone seen a wipe on the hiscores of many many accounts?
Just curious as to see how this double xp drama has worked out for jagex and the conspiracy theories behind botting etc..

I have a further question:
If an account receives an infraction for macro (major or minor) what happens? I heard something like bots get 2-3 chances? Could anyone elaborate please?

 

I haven't noticed anything, and all my accounts are fine. I wouldn't be surprised if after they have a mass ban.

 

I don't think we will see many bans this weekend. The servers can barely keep up with us I bet their bot detection is going haywire right now.

 

Don't think they can issue bans this quickly...

 

I don't think many bans will occur unless they've magically stepped up Botany Bay and we are unaware of it. A few autotypers, some f2p bots and maybe some gold farmers will get banned, that will be it.

Haha same here. Don't care if i get caught, because i hear it's only 7 day ban for the first offence!

 

Yeah I got banned way back in the day for RWT. Some dude reported me cuz I was a level 80 something with full dragon... This was when 1m seemed like a lot of money..

 

Maybe the botwatch thing is working so hard that it makes all servers lagg? ;o
There could be a mass ban after the weekend, who knows.
And no friends of mine got banned.

 

I got an email today about being banned. I've been working all day so I don't know if it's an actual one or fake. Seems legit though. I think it's on my skiller was botting rc. This was like a month or so ago when they first announced botany bay. I'll keep you guys posted on what actually happens.

 

Hope you didn't type your password in because those are always phishs. Jagex won't email you if your banned you get to find out when you log in.

 

You obviously don't know what's going on right now. I'm not talking about way back in the day.

I reckon there will be a mass ban for botting very soon, and then a huge crackdown on RWT

 

I doubt that many people would be banned. Literally every world was jam-packed with bots.

 

Jagex would only contact you through the messages on your account, those emails are fake, they only contact you if you changed email or access JAG or something, and they'd always start with Dear (your username)

 

Yeah checked it today. Directly through rs site. Both accounts were fine.

 

Now bxp is finished, I think the likelihood of many of us suffering bans has increased. Looking out fir a hiscores wipe!
