    Headphones Worth Its Price?

I'm thinking of buy some nice headphones and ask a friend to have it etched it for me (art student), because I didn't feel like wasting hundreds of dollars on headphones that are only worth is name value (Dr. Dres.)

Do you guys have any recommendations?
What is the best I could get for one with the sound quality of a Dr. Dre?

I'd agree with that. If you're going for looks go with Beats. They look nice and don't sound bad either, but doller for doller you're getting WAY less, and paying more for the name.

I don't know if it is true but the 'replica' beats are supposedly pretty good.

m50s (but these are studio phones, they have very little bass compared to beats) , Koss Pro DJ100 (found that you need a portable amp for use with iphone to fully get the true potential of these cans), some skull candy's have as much bass as beats. Sony also makes a few different cans that pack a punch for 60 bucks or less.

I bought studio beats and I'm not that please with them. The bass is amazing, but the headphones themselves don't stay on your head if you have longer, smooth hair. I found that if i want to walk around campus, or really move at a rapid pace, I need to wear a fitted/snap back etc so that the cans will stay on.

Quality is shitty in general, left can has a static buzzing noise when plugged into my mac. I can't imagine that fakes would even be worth buying since the real ones are terrible quality, sound, material, in general.

    Audio-Technica all the way!
ATH-M30 is just 40/50$ on Amazon
ATH-M50 is about 120$ (Last time I checked on them was like a month ago)
    They both are pro..

I'd recommend AD700s from Audio technica. They are ugly tho imo, but sound great.
They're $150 here in Aus so I'd assume they'd be around the same from Amazon, newegg, etc.

I'd recommend more along the line of WeSC headphones. I bought a pair once on a ferry because I forgot my headphones and they're about $50 and you get really good sound quality and also great looks

Bowers & Wilkins. You're wasting time with anything else. This is coming from a true audiophile...if you appreciate tonal qualities and accuracy, these are money well spent. They make beats sound like an old worn out speaker, you simply can't go back. Their home audio is no less than stellar also, but extremely pricey. Generally used as a reference speaker in the home theater market to compare other speakers to, they're rarely bested.
Audio technicas sound pretty good. Much better than beats, they sound about equivalent to a set of polks. Not on b&ws level but still good. I find them uncomfortable...although I have strange&small ears.
