what if money were no object?

How were you ever an Admin if you are going to comment and make assumptions on a thread without even watching the video attached to it, and refuse to watch it when its pointed out that your assumptions were completely wrong?

The video is basically about what you would do with your life if you could live a life of comfort and pleasure doing whatever kind of job/cause/charity/etc you love, without having to worry about not making enough money to support yourself. More of a 'what would you love to do' than a 'what do I need to do to make enough money to get by'

My example:

I would be a few things all in one. I would be a Marijuana Dispensary owner/grower. I would become a scientist/doctor so I could analyze each strain of pot I sold for exact chemical make-ups, concentrations of different active drugs, health benefits, and much much more. I would also manage as many studies as possible to discover and document the truth about marijuana on certain topics (whether positive or negative).

 

In any practical sense, it's impossible to reach a situation where nobody does the dirty work. That neglected, unwanted job is the one that enables a whole hierarchy of superior jobs to exist. You can't be a painter if nobody can produce paint, brushes, canvas.
Paint requires water or oil, complex pigments made of all kinds of metal, soluble mediums, plastic for the tube and cap, and more pigment to mark the tube. Each of those ingredients relies on several more tiers of jobs trailing all the way to intensive mining operations in Africa, the Middle East, and Asia. Brushes rely on wood, paint, and hair, as well as a metal clasp. Each part needs a job in and of itself to procure it. Canvas needs the textile industry to create it, wood for the frame, and more. On top of that it needs to be shipped and sold and myriad other operations. Altogether a hundred people could easily have contributed to the fact that you are a painter. I can assure you almost none of the people who made those materials want to be miners, loggers, factory workers, smelters, oil workers, ship crew, truck drivers, or cashiers, but they did enable you to reach a superior job.

Now ignoring that, it'd honestly fulfill any range of professions and create a good many new ones due to an input in creative, educated thought. Personally I'd like to go into programming or pure computer science, but each one is going to pick something different, and very much dependent on what surroundings they were raised in.

 

My guess is that the world would be a better place, with no robberies and thiefs, But would bring an unorganized society, it has its good and bad's.

The video is like any other childish point of view of a world that can't really exist. Bunch of what ifs to wonder for nothing.

Its not inspirational, its depressing.

 

Probably coach football if money was there, i am planning on becoming a financial banker.

I got injured and couldn't play football anymore. I like economics so I am still studying what I enjoy.
