I have no idea what intelligent debate and the art of pickup have in relation, but my opinion is that presenting a business plan and seducing are basically the same, with minor differences such as the number of people you are talking to, and your objective.

When presenting a business plan, you are talking to a multiple amount of people to convince them that your business plan is the best. When seducing a woman, you are convincing her, that one person that you are the #0 candidate to be her lover.

Around two years ago as well I started getting into the whole PUA scene because I felt I just couldn't get girls. Read tons of guides watched tons of videos. Did it help me? Yes. But nowadays I don't follow it anymore. At first when I started it was really awkward and felt out of my element, but then it become more normal and I started seeing some success.

Personally, I don't think it's what it teaches you that helps you get girls. All it does is it lays down a method for you to rely on which boosts your confidence because you believe its going to work. It's the confidence that gets the girl, not the method. In addition to this, it has you actually TRYING to pick up girls instead of sitting around thinking about how you can't or procrastinating because you're worried about rejection. Unquestionably that helps because a) you're gonna miss all the shots you don't take, and b) You become better and more confident through experience and trial and error.

As I said, I don't follow it anymore and I haven't for almost a year now. Girls are no longer a problem for me . PUA definitely improved my game significantly by encouraging me to go to a bunch of parties and approach a bunch of girls, but I haven't used any particular sort of method since I stopped following it, and honestly I'm doing pretty damn well and better then ever. I just show confidence, live in the moment, be a fun guy, and see how it goes. If you were to ask me how to pick up a girl at a party or something I couldn't tell you, all I could say is just do it.

 

i take it you are an awkward person in person so you watched these guides to be less awkward and finally talk to girls?
well im glad it worked for you, but its certainly very creepy how interested in it you are, imagine if a girl knew you were into this art, would you be embarrassed?

ive never had problems talking to girls so i dont really know where youre coming from on the situation to begin with, did you ever get rejected pretty bad to make you wanna learn how to pick up girls? or did you not have a clue of where to begin with so you watched guides?
