first 99

Hey guys,
So I'm starting a level 3 skiller, and I am going to be botting. What is the best 99 to get as my first. Specifically, I would prefer for it to be cheap and fast. Please list how expensive it is, and how long it takes please.

I think you should go for Runecrafting.
Very fast and absolutely worth it! It's an epic cape.
Otherwise i should choose firemaking or cooking, both are very fast. (200k+ h/r)

 

As a skiller, I will presume your first 99 would be a resource gathering skill.

Perhaps fishing? Its decent profit but not so fast.

 

I would probably suggest woodcutting - simple to bot, and fairly quick exp. Once you can do Ivy's you'll generally get 70k exp/hr+

 

Woodcutting. It's fast, and free.
Then hunter, fast, and makes a like 25M

 

Runecrafting = Free = 2/3 weeks.
Hunter = Free = 4/5 weeks.
Woodcutting = Free = 2/3 weeks.
Fletching, Cooking, Firemaking = 10M max = 1/2 weeks.


All times are based on not botting too often, but could most likely be shorter.

Cooking was my first and it cost me about 5M

As a skiller, I'd like to throw something out there.
Firemaking is the quickest, by far. It costs very little, but it's a "trimmer" skill, and is useful to trim your other 99 cape.
For your other 99, I'd like to put out some information.
Cooking profits on lobsters and doesn't take all too long, and leaves possibilities for future profit depending on the market.
Fletching profits up to 200% on maple longs, you make a few million in a 99 that I botted in less than a week.
RC is alright. It's fast now and it's a nice cape, but everyone knows you used runespan, and it's not that impressive anymore.

Just some things to throw in there.
Hardcore? Get 80's in important skills and try for the dungeoneering cape.

 

Thanks for the post. You seem quite knowledgeable and have certainly helped me quite a bit. I have already thought about doing dungeoneering, but I need to see if I can get it free/need to pay a clan to do it.

 

Tbh if your just starting out go with all the skills that gain you money ... fishing / wc / mining all them sort of things, useing all logs you cut on fletching or use loggs cut for begining of firemakeing etc etc... all the fish you fished keep enough for cooking

Start with runecrafting and If you decide to bot abyss later on then you can use the money made to level cooking up as it is usually really fast upto 300kexp/hour making wines.

Cooking took me a week botting, so like 2 weeks by hand. Cost closer to 10m.

Fletching takes about a week booting, 2 weeks by hand. Costs around 10m, you can make money with it but takes longer.

 

Either firemaking, woodcutting or cooking 3 easiest skills to get to 99

 

Get cooking.

 

No one's suggested this yet, but Thieving is easy to bot and gets up to 200k xp/h at level 98 and about 150k/h most levels below blackjacking at the thieve's guild. I got it second on my skiller using a script called 'thieves guild'
Edit: also, if you're botting hunter i'd suggest doing it first because it's likely to be the most ban risky
