Biggest Lottery Win?

Anyone here play the lottery? Anyone who does ever hit big? I used to play alot, then settled down, then played alot again, now Im kind of in the middle. I wont spend too much on it but I have the mindset that if Im not giving away too too much money, it doesnt hurt to risk it to win big. Ill spend 5$ here 10$ there... ive hit for some decent cash before, my biggest being 1000$, then 500$, 400$, a few 150$s.. Just won 50$ on a 5$ scratch ticket so thought I'd ask if Im the only one who plays, lol. And if you dont play.... why not and what are ur views on it?

 

the lottery is kind of a tax on hope.
Not a gambling person. (in real life at least , happy to stake on games)

 

Slots and lottery are a way for the government to get back there welfare checks.

The lottery has to be THE ABSOLUTE worst form of gambling in terms of ROI. Its a complete joke. If im going to gamble i want some kind of edge. weather it be mathematical or skill based. Iv never played the lottery and never will.

I bought $20 in scratch cards on my 18th but got nothing.

 

I've personally never participated in the lottery, mainly because hardly anyone ever wins it. I know my friends + family have, though they've never really won much.

 

£20, which is about 32$

 

I've never paid for a lotto ticket but from the couple I've gotten as gifts I've won once for like $100

 

I bought a £2 scratch card once and won £50. That was my first won, then now i've spent about £50 on them and still won fuck all.

 

If you saved the money you spent on the lottery and invested it in a dividend paying stock you would make more money 299,999,999 times out of 300,000,000.

I'm no mathematician but playing the lottery = DERP.

 

I'm not too interested in testing my luck for money although at times, I feel like i am among the luckiest men on earth.

However, among those people who claim that lotterries are wastes of money and that the money should be saved, I doubt that many have very good spendin habits either, or have a savings account for themselves.
