Suggestion: Realm Of The Mad God Section

I really don't think there is a large enough market for ROTMG to warrant a whole section..

 

Their market has 1,000's of posts daily. I was lurking shadygamers forum and they had about 40-50 users dealing ROTMG there.

I've sold to about 10 people this week RWT'ing. There's a market if 10 people find you via a forum that it's banned on.

If it was an ffa rwt forum, shop owners would come back.

Ammies are up from 50 cents last month to 6-7$ each this week.


There's a market, a potential 1k+ new users. If that doesn't work out, I'm sure Sythe doesn't struggle too much deleting sections.

Agreed. The site and its official forum rank between top 80-85k most-visited websites on Alexa. For reference, sythe ranks at top 40k. I've also seen very few threads for RotMG trades posted in the market.

That being said, some people think staff has been too closed-minded about expansion and innovation. However I think that this project is doomed to fail from the start.

Some stats:

SWTOR site ranking: 7,101
GW2 site ranking: 2,122
Battle.net (Diablo+WoW) ranking: 340
Runescape.com ranking: 3,053
Sythe.org ranking: 38,272
Realm of the Mad God site ranking: 83,292

 

And all of those are way, way, way older than ROTMG.

ROTMG is pretty much where RS was when RWT became somewhat relevant, but it's as if RWT was allowed before-hand and the market thrived.

It's not like I would lie about the fact that at least 1000 people used to RWT on their forums when it was legal.

 

I'll take your word for it. If there's as much rwt demand as you say there is, then it looks like there is a potential opening here. I'll support it

 

I appreciate that, and the attention towards this thread.

The most productive part is how easily we can remove the section. There's nothing easier than trying something knowing you can completely remove it. It would only be a positive gain for the forum if there are members who choose to join and stay at Sythe.

 

Video there is one thing that a lot of people are missing in this case.

500-100 active market users.

RWT has been banned.

There is NO other outlet for RWT right now. NONE, NADA, ZIPPO, which means if they find one, I can guarantee that a majority of those users will go there, so if we get the one and only ROTMG market up and running, we could potentially be gaining 500-1000 new users, which is huggeee.

I guess I should rephrase it and say before there are any competing sites? Haha.

 

I'd imagine d2jsp or however you spel it would be one. I know it's not direct RWT, but it's the closest there is atm.

 

I wouldn't mind a forum for this tbh. It's not really a game you can play long term but when I did play it for a day or two I was poking around on sythe to see if any one was selling items on it for Rsgp.

 

Basically any other gaming site that promotes a blackmarket could take over, or an entirely new forum could be created for it.
