Why are we bored with RS?

This is a topic that I don't hear much about but everyone seems to have it on their mind...

Why are we usually bored of playing runescape?

I think I'm bored with rs because I have practically done it all.... I've played for the past 10 years and until about 4 or 5 years ago it was a game that kept my interest. I have since then sold every account I had but one, thinking I was going to quit the game for good. Now that I'm back its boring training skills because I've already been the highest levels on multiple accounts that I'm not used to grinding anymore.

I will say however that the only thing that managed to keep my interest was when I had a maxed range tank or even when I was training that tank from the upper 80's. It could do anything and everything which I liked (mains just don't really compare for me idky)

 

Because we used to have the time of our lives playing the game, so we still seek that same enjoyment we once had.

Fortunately, I'm actually having an amazing time on RS (since the past 1.5-2 months) and I'm not bored with RS at all

 

It's boring because there is alot of repetive actions. I don't find them fun to do.

 

For me, it's probably because I've been everywhere/know so much now; things really are much more fun when there's a lot of 'unknown' to explore...on top of that have been playing for years. I think joining the blackmarket has also ruined some of the fun really in a way because it tends to make you think more about making money rather than the fun that comes from just playing the game(those not involved in these types of sites).

I'm still enjoying the game to an extent now though.

 

I agree with Glam. I used to quest until I got the qp cape... After that I knew where every location was and what every requirement was. That I just kinda logged in to see my GE offers, then logged out. Since I got into selling accs and what not on other sites, I've more or less focused on making money than playing the game haha

 

A lot of players are older now, they've had their time with the game and it's no longer foreign to them.

There's no mystery to the game anymore, I feel as if it's extremely easy to do anything.

If the old graphics were brought back, I would probably log in to pk and play now and then. But now, I have no interest in playing mainly because of that graphical update. At the same time, I would only PK and nothing else, like skilling, questing, etc.

 

It's hard to enjoy the game when it's rampant with 13 year old douche bags who think they own the planet and every fucker living on it.

 

I tell you why we are bored, because we RWT. Ever since I started to rwt I got bored from runescape. I can't make money anymore, I can't lvl up a skill when I know I can pay a few mille to get it up.

Rwt fucked runescape. There is nothing wrong with updates, runescape is getting better and better.

 

The thing that kills it for me is the community, the only thing you'll see someone say nowadays is something like "L u fkn suck fgt gtfo before I crash you" or something like that. Although recently I've been having quite some fun on RS with slayer.

 

For me its the lack of enjoyment from the game

For me it's just the repetitive nature of the game itself. Most of the skills require the same keystrokes and those that don't are only marginally different. This combined with my time playing RS and trying everything out has just made it less appealing.

 

Because some people have been playing it for over 10 years. At some point you just need to pick up another hobby. I'm not saying outside of gaming, but it's tough to keep your self interested in a game for that long.

When you start playing a new MMO it doesn't last as long as RS does.
When you've been playing this game for such a long time, learning to type on it, playing/making friends, the entire ka-baang, it just makes it tough to move on, but not to let go.

 

That really awkward moment when you're not bored with rs. Ouch.

But I recently quit for almost 2 years (last logged in 549 days ago) and I don't even enjoy playing the beta server on weekends! Maybe because my account that I didn't sell is a low level pure that can't do much after all the updates.....

 

Because the game is based more around money than actual gameplay itself now.

Rwt? I'm not fully aware its harms, so I don't care st the moment.

 

It got bored when I stopped learning new stuff while playing the game. It also doesn't help that I am older and more mature now, and most people that play are young and annoying people that aren't worth talking to because they aren't nice like Runescape players used to be.

 

The reason I am bored of RuneScape is because I started selling gold. Everytime I waste gold on a skill I feel like I am wasting real money witch I technically am.
