Price changes when EoC comes out

Will all the prices change when EoC comes out? I've heard someone say gold will be sold at .15/m. Should I start selling my rares/gold now or will the prices increase/stay the same?

 

If inflation is continues, then the price of rares will raise. I wouldn't bother selling rares, but in the situation that this is actually applicable. It would be wise to sell mills and buy them back at 1/3 the price they currently are. Haven't heard anything to the extent of mills becoming 1/3 their current cost though. Numerous items will be nerfed, but I don't see a direct correlation with combat related items are rares.

 

When people were repetitively botting the gp glitch, (getting max cash every 10-15 seconds) it only went to about $.45/M...

I highly doubt gp will fall that far.

 

The cost of GP will only decrease if the supply increases drastically and the demand remainds the same or if the demand drops considerably while the supply remains constant.

We shouldn't speculate what will happen to the prices when EOC comes out but if anything there will be more players on rs and more people wanting to RWT so gold may go up a little bit.

 

If a large amount of players quit due to EoC, RS gold will become worthless near enough. Remember, if there's high supply and low demand, it's not worth a lot.

Exactly. This frustrates me because I really find it unfair that I need to prepare for an update, or else my bank value will crash exponentially because of the change in weaponry effectiveness (etc.)

 

Why is everyone dead set on answering this question by saying the price of GP will decrease?

Sythe himself made a thread here not so long ago informing everyone he anticipates EOC to bring more people to RS.

From there I go back to my previous point

 

So what would be better?
To buy gold now or after EoC??

 

It really depends on how urgent you need the gold.

The gold price after EoC may not change drastically. If you really need the gold now, then buy it now. If you can wait a few more weeks, than wait.

Jagex isn't retarded. If they knew the majority of their player base would quit after an update they wouldn't go through with it. I don't really see much change happening with the price unless EoC bot detection is different.
