just noticed on an infraction i gained that the date format is : Month/Day/Year

this was rather confusing for me as in the Uk the prominant formatting is : Day/Month/Year.

i cannot seem to find a way to change this around but a suggestion is to have an option for ALL date notifications to be on user specified like when i post it shows like UK.

just a suggestion obviously but feel it may help abit as i was rather confused

Yeah I'd like to see this. It's a bit annoying having to deal with the US format all the time.

If there could be an option to switch between the two, then this wouldn't be an inconvenience at all.

This also. When you select your country it should have it so it automatically changes, I was on a forum that had it before, where you selected between mm/dd/yy and dd/mm/yy

As I've said in a different post, we most likely won't see this being taken into consideration until VB4 is squared away with.

Almost every other forum i use does this, or it is automatically set via your country setting.

It seems to do it the way i am used to for EVERYTHING except the infractions so it gets extremely confusing XD

If possible I'd like to see this done, on many an occasion I've messed up dating because I've accidentally looked at it the wrong way. Surprised something like this isn't done already considering Sythe is Australian :p

Yeah I'll support this for ease of use. It's never inconvenienced me though as I've just realized it's the US format and just read it differently.

Gets me sometimes, when I don't remember. I'm not fussed about it being implemented as long as it's confirmed it'll be available in vb4.

100% support. I'm Australian (had no idea sythe was too), and the dates are incredibly irritating to read and makes it hard to tell if you're about to revive an old thread.

Definite support from me, it gets me 9/10 times the first two weeks of every month (As neither of the numbers are higher than 12)

    1) Can be avoided by not getting infractions. ^_^

    2) Instead of spending lots of time making a system that adjusts the dates to your country's system, why not a simpler version:

    <month, spelled out> <day> <year>

    Examples: June 13 2007, August 8 2012

This would require much less work (in fact, it wouldn't surprise me if there's already a way to set this up in the ACP) and is just as effective.

I would settle for this, and the date is visible on posts over a day old as well as infractions.

I'm assuming that this is a global setting, so yes it would (and should) change on posts as well if implemented.

I've never had any trouble with this though.

Having the month spelled out is the only change that makes sense.
Any other way, you're still confusing some group of people.

Yah, I was just gonna say if you switch it it will confuse the hell out of me.
That suggestion could work if it really is an issue though.

I don't think the original suggestion is asking for it to be switched around for everybody, more or less when you register and select your country or something of the sort, it will change the date around for what the date is like in that country.
