    Hey,

    I've been working on a Dungeoneering script for a while and decided to make it open source. I'm developing the script for TRiBot, which you might have never heard of. TRiBot is an OpenGL bot made by TRiLeZ, former Simba developer :p

    In short, it's an OpenGL/Color bot and the scripting language is Java. Scripting is similar to Powerbot and probably to other java bots aswell. I chose TRiBot as the uptime is 24/7 and the people are much nicer than other community's. Jagex can't break OpenGL unless they update their OpenGL engine and the chance that's going to happen is pretty small. They can't remove OpenGL mode either because Mac users rely on it.

    Anyways, I'm wondering if there is anyone interested to help me with this Dungeoneering script. Current goal is to make it working for Complexity 4.

    i've heard fagex will move rs into html5 with the bot nuke

    I believe they will only use HTML5 as a wrapper of the client. I'm not sure if OpenGL will be affected, considering the fact that HTML5 should run on nearly all mobile devices they might remove all display options. So that would remove safe mode, software mode, opengl mode and directx mode. I'm not sure if they can do that though, someone else might. As long as the OpenGL mode exists the bot will work. For now they can't remove it as Mac users need it to play RS.

    Bots using java wouldn't work I'm sure of, but they wont be introducing html5 for a while.

    Yeah if they remove OpenGL. Otherwise this will still work I think.. We'll see what happens.

    Before I quit RS, I really enjoyed the TRiBot community - generally quite mature. I'm glad to see they're still active and you're developing for them.

    Btw HTML5 is capable of using a rendering engine called 'WebGL' which is essentially its own form of OpenGL.

    But its effect on the different graphics modes, is going to remain somewhat unclear until Jagex either directly speaks about it, or actually released their HTML5 wrapper.

    Looks like fun mate, good luck with the project.

    From the looks of it soon Simba will be able to read color in OGL mode through a simple plugin, so we'll have the best of both worlds with OGL and color working in unity.

    Also if I might correct you, TRileZ was a former SRL-Developer, not Simba Dev.

    I highly doubt they will move the whole client to HTML5 as that would be impracticable for several reasons. However, if they were to do that, they would most defiantly use OpenGL which TRiBot is able to hook onto and intercept.
