They can only fully remove gambling if they remove free trade and i'm sure you would rather have gambling in the game and not be limited to 50k or whatever of wealth differentiation per trade.

 

Gambling doesnt really ruin the economy. Besides, it serves as entertainment for many.

I would agree but you and I both know that's never going to be the case for some hosts/members.

Dicing was* fun, its been outlawed for a bit now.

There is no cure whatsoever to gambling, let's face it. I can create a gambling game saying it's going to take me 2 arrows or less to kill a grizzly bear (level 21). If takes more than 2 arrows; I lose the bet. And to the current gambling methods, nobody expects Jagex to remove the RSC cape emote, Dungeoneering emote, flowers, but they expect Jagex to remove mithril seeds? Gambling will exist so long as we have free trade.

 

i honestly dont see what the problem with gambling is other than cleaning people that get addicted to it ... it doesnt affect the economy as much as merch clan do. If anything, it affects the RS black market economy driving the price of GP down as most big hosts sell their money for irl money but alot of other factor affect the price of RSGP other than that. As other stated above me, so long as Free Trade is out, so will gambling. i'd like to remind you how bad no free-trade was , you had to accumulate retarded amount of "junk" to be able to buy most rares because they wouldnt sell for the g.e price and all , you could only trade like 30k every 15 mins to strangers (which is most people buying stuff from some1 else). i'd rather keep free-trade even if it means gambling stays and honestly i don't have a problem with gambling either the only ones who have problem with it are the one that got cleaned / are addicted to it. You're not the only one on runescape and everyone is entitled to do what they want in runescape and you don't have a right to tell people what they can and can't do on the game, only JaGeX has this right.

Gambling creates huge profits. There is no reason to remove it.

 

I am just tired of going to the GE and seeing so many people there just gambling. Hopefully there will be an update that says you can only gamble inside some designated area.

I love to gamble, It is fun, it is the only reason I play RS anymore. I love to box, rapier stake, whip, mage box, I also like sitting in a IRC clan and talking to some friends while we bet each other. I gamble in clans frequent, Its like GWD clans, we just enjoy being there, sure I've been cleaned, but I usually come out with a large profit. Gambling is fun, always has been for me, the "risk" factor is what does it. I keep it limited, I only allow myself so much gold a day ect. I set goals, my gambling is controlled and is why I can go from 10m -200m in a few hours, simple self control (;

Gambling isn't really bad, it's usually the players fault not knowing when to stop that lead them to being cleaned anyways.
