Middle Man question...

I'm not sure where to post this, I hope this is the right section...

Anyways, I was wondering, what's the procedure if you're a MM and someone wants to trade RSGP for $$?

Would you first received the RSGP, and then have the buyer send the seller the money to THEIR PayPal, once the seller has confirmed they received the payment you can give the buyer the RSGP?

I was thinking people do it that they transfer to the MM then to the seller, but that would cost the seller more...

Kinda new to all of this, so I'm trying to get my head wrap around it. Thanks.

 

Both parties, buyer and seller, give the rsgp and $$ to MM and he/she will give the goods to the corresponding person.

 

Hm, I thought it was smarter/safer for the buyer to send the money to the seller, instead of sending it to the MM then the MM sending it to the seller since 1) the MM now risks being charged back if the buyer was a scammer, and 2) the seller receives less money since he's not charged 2 fees from PayPal.

 

get the gold
trader 1 sends money to trader 2
mm gets trader to confirm receiving money
give gold

 

MM's are a safe way to trade and you should always use one unless your positive of the Buyer/seller rep.

 

Remember that using a MM or an OMM doesn't mean the trade is safer in the long run, charge backs can still occur afterwards, if you don't trust someone enough to go first, don't trade them - IMO.

 

With these kinds of trades RSGP-PP , there is no safe alternative as you still risk the chance of being chargebacked after with an MM.

 

You do not touch the PP.

- They give you GOLD
- You wait until PP xfer has been confirmed
- You give the gold
- Vouch
