How's Gambling?

I'm thinking of getting back into RS to gamble. Is it still the same from the beggining? Where 2 people roll 2 six sided dice and the highest wins? Has anything changed?

Dicing were removed. Horses were removed.

You have a choice between:
Seals (odd/even, over/under, or guess the number, blackjack)
RSC Cape (guess the emote)
Dungeoneering cape (guess the emote)
Flowers (ABC, hot/cold, guess the color, poker, frosty flowers)
Dragon Plate (cheer or cry)
Rest (lap or back)
Easter Ring (guess the color, hot/cold)

There may be some that I missed, but that's the ones I can name off the bat.

 

I would advise not to do any gambing involving the dungeonerring cape. As its easy to scam with it, Since whatever combat piece you have equip it transforms into. exp: Wearing a B ring will have it be a melee transformation,

 

Has it always been that way? I haven't done research into it, and I don't have an account with dungeoneering cape. I just saw it was played often.

As for the other ones, I know they work.

 

Oh you also forgot IRC betting. Its the best so far.

You still roll dices but its on an external chat.

 

Id reccamend Flower poker if your not boxing a Great clan i usually play in is "liv3" they have a few hosts and are pretty much always active and are farely helpful if you got cleaned they might give you a free pot ext i enjoy gambling there rember only bet what your willing to lose and be safe

 

Rings don't affect how it changes, but there is easy scams to do such as changing your clothes, such as the black plateleg scam.

 

They do actually, you're quite wrong on the contrary.

Why'd they get rid of dice bags?

 

The Runescape community criticized it to death saying it was turning Runescape into an "online casino." Certain hosts were also labeled as scammers because they convinced lower leveled players to gamble their accounts' total wealth without thoroughly explaining how the odds worked. Not to mention, dicing promoted the use of auto typing which is frowned upon by Jagex. Finally, to add the cherry on top of it all, players made a petition or "campaign" as they called it to out-law the activity of dicing. Which was then promoted by player mods and J-mods alike, this put the kibosh on dicing. The popularity of gambling is immense, there are three unofficial worlds that are "pro-gambling," and seven of which are "anti-gambling" to give insight.

 

gambling is pretty good still ... theres a game that people forgot to mention that I , as a host, do. its called "666"

basicly the better bets on a color of flower and then i plant 6 flowers, if for example the better bets on yellow and i plant 3 yellows, then he gets x3 of his bet so it gives a possibly, even if its pretty slim chances, to x6 your initial bet!

however , if there is only 1 of the color planted, i "redo" and give the better a chance to change his color or stick with his initial color and then continue on planting 6 more flowers.

if after planting 3 rows of 6 flowers there has not been more than 1 of the color the better betted on then it is host win, or if the color betted on doesnt come up its host win aswell.

its a pretty nice game to play i like it

gambling is not inpossible these days, you just have to know how you are doing it

 

A few mistakes here. Firstly, no one host RSC cape emotes because the odds are 50/50 and host would always want the odds to be towards them. Dungeoneering cape emote also doesnt work as people can scam with rings since rings are not visible to other players. Rest(lap or back) also doesnt work as it happens alternately. For example you are doing lap now. The next one will also be back, vice versa.

OT: In f2p, people mostly do seal games while in p2p, people host flowers h/c

RSC cape has 3 (random?) emotes, so how is that 50/50?

Removed my previous message, my mistake there. To my knowledge there is no "50/50" chance, as no armor or bonus can determine which of the three shall show. Unless he's referring to the possibility of the host calculating the algorithm in which 1/3 emotes will pop up within a select number of times... This is impossible as there can only be 66.6% vs. 33.3% chance which could occur if the host has a comrade also betting on the third emote or if they've claimed 2/3 emotes. I'm confused as to how he can say there's a 50/50 chance whether the person against the host (or the host) can guess correctly.
