How does buying gold work exactly?

Im just curious, i've thought about buying gold, but i honestly dont know what's all involved with it now-a-days.

could someone give me some insight of how a normal trade would go down? obviously i dont want to compromise my account or get it banned, that would blow.

 

pay the gold seller the money (go for someone trusted not a newcomer) via paypal. You should pay between 0.4 and 0.55$ per million gp.
They can then either just trade you the cash, or most will be happy to lose it to you in a duel.

 

It's very rare that people are banned for BUYING gold although some of the large sellers who trade billions daily have been banned but I don't believe anyone on sythe has been banned for buying gp lately. You just find a trusted person and pay for the gold and they will trade it to you in-game.

Right here's what you do.

You decide who's going first. For this example, the buyer is.

The buyer sends the cash to the seller, lets say $170 for 405M (Kevin001's prices, amount I bought).
Buyer waits for seller to confirm they've recieved cash.
They meet at a mutual location (usually lummy)
They then trade, with the seller giving the buyer the gold.

Then they vouch, and are both happy.

 

sweet, i thought there was some other crazy stuff involved, i should've known it was as simple as a trade/staked duel, lol

 

There have been a couple that I know of that claimed they were caught in the aftermath of the crime. The amounts they were transferring were utterly ridiculous though (e.g. 20 billion coins per trade). Often times sellers on Sythe will also post their Player Auctions a.k.a. PA link to ensure their customers safety. Player Auctions acts as a middleman for people who are seeking to buy gold, accounts, items, etc. However, I would only recommend them for gold and items as accounts can always be recovered. As for their services, they are flawless but the buyer can cause you a delay in shipping or vice versa. Not once have I come across a severe problem which I was forced to wait longer than 45 minutes. Trusted sellers on the forums are the same exact way, it just depends on whether or not you're willing to go first as they are trusted and have several hundreds of vouches proving so.

they were talking about that jagex roll back/clean accounts that trade high amounts of gold

 

the process is so easy,order submitted;Phone confirmation,then in -game delivery,and i I honestly haven't heard of any ban for buying gold.

 

As a few of us had already said, bans have been given out to members who were trading quantities larger than 1B.
