Off-Topic Movies/Television Sticky Suggestion

I've noticed that there's always a new thread about your favorite tv series where people post their favorite tv shows. Once it leaves the first page a new one ends up being made. So I'm suggesting a simple sticky for the topic where we can always find it.

 

Although there are stickies, people often ignore them. RuneScape General is a prime example. Stickies will always be ignored and new threads started.

 

Meh it's fine the way it is in my opinion. It keeps the section going, and people probably wouldn't use the sticky much anyways.

 

As cool as I think this would be, I'd rather see this site expand it's market focus a bit so we can draw in new members, then figure out what to do in the OT from there.

 

There's a similar sticky for films and people use it.

It's a simple sticky it's not going to take time away from expanding other aspects of the website

 

Pretty much what FlyingToast said, but I do think we should have a sticky for "What Future Released Movie Are You Looking Forward To?"

 

Wait what lol...A sticky isn't going to have that much of an effect o.0

 

No, I'm not saying this will have an effect, I'm saying I'd rather see some changes in some other parts of the site before we worry about the for the most part active OT section.

 

I wouldn't mind seeing a sticky implemented, we have a favourite movie one so I don't see why we shouldn't have one for your favourite T.V series. It'll remove some of these threads with clog the forum up a little bit and it isn't much work to implement. Heck I'll write it up and give it to an Off-Topic Moderator to post if they want.

 

I don't really think that section gets "clogged up" by those threads. It already struggles with activity as it it. I don't think we should be messing with it anymore. If we make a sticky it's going to hurt the activity level.

 

I see where your coming from but I figured it would be better to have one big thread that you'll always be able to find instead of having a new one here and there.

 

If it was implemented, people would simply argue that other stickies be made... it's fine how it is imo.

 

That could already be done though because we have a "What's your favourite movie" sticky.

What if we just edited the "Favourite Movie" sticky to include Television shows/documentaries/anything?

 

If someone could provide me with a well written thread or a good draft of an edited "Favorite Movie" sticky as Brendan suggested i would be glad to turn it into a sticky.

Stickies I suggest:

• What's the last Movie that you've seen?
• What's the last Show that you've seen?

Easy for people to simply post their last viewing. Also helps people in deciding on what movies/shows to watch!

 

I think that's the point of this and the favorite movie thread or at least that's what I use it for.

 

"What're you currently watching?" Would also work for those of us who like to gawk back and forth between our TVs/monitors.

 

Ok idea, although I don't think people will use it that much tbh.

 

This would really be nice but I don't want to encourage spam. You could basically put one word answers in there whenever you feel like it.
