Excuses to get her number?

Okay I will try to make this short - Ugh, so theres this girl at work, and everytime the opening is perfect to ask for her number, I just keep choking. I don't know what to say to her. I can talk to anyone else perfectly but it's always the girl I have interest in is when it's hard!

I work at a restaurant so what would be a excuse to get her number? I don't to seem weird by asking her straight up, so any ideas? Thanks guys for reading.

Oldest trick in the book is to ask to see her phone because of (case, its a cool new phone, always wanted a phone like that) then just call your phone and add your number into her contacts (assuming she knows your name). Depending on the level of flirtiness between you two you could also wrestle it from her as a playful thing then add it in or say "im not giving it back till i get your number" ect.

 

How is that practical...? She's going to notice you doing it and then get creeped out by it.

Ot, simplicity is the best policy just ask her for her number and give her yours and tell her if an emergency ever happens and she needs someone to cover her shift you're there for her. You get her number and you come off as a caring individual. Win win.

 

Don't just randomly add her number like Annex said... She will be like "wtf? how did you get my number?".

You can just have a conversation before you leave for home or something, hopefully something she seems interested in, then just say "give me your number and we'll carry on the conversation, then we have someone to talk to on the way home." then just carry on the conversation and then text her whenever you want afterwards

Although I disagree with Annex's first idea, when he said wrestling with her (playfully flirting of course), you can do that and say "hahaha I'm going to send you a load of dirty text messages!!" obviously joking around, then half way through your work day send her a dirty, yet funny, text message and she should laugh if she's into you.

Or just invite her out somewhere after work and ask her for her number so you can set it up.

Is there that much of a generational gap from me to you guys where if she sees you playing around on her phone she won't put two and two together that you took her number from her phone?

 

Don't do this shit. She'll be like, 'WTF your a creep!' maybe, maybe not, but don't take your chances.

Hey gorgeous, I hope your day is as beautiful as you are.

Than give her a confident smile and if she giggles and says 'thank you' or something like that, jus be like 'You should text me - what's your number?'

If she gives it to you, score, if not than find someone else haha.

I've used a # of pickup lines in my day, this one is legit (ya gotta mean it, ya can't says she's gorgeous if you think she's ugly... lol) and it's not offensive or degrading. I always get a "Thank you!" or "Awe thanks, you're so sweet!" etc.

Great way to break the ice too. If you can't ask for her number after that than you need to pack a big fat bowl of confidence. lmfao...

 

Lol i have the same problem where I can talk to any girl except the girl I like. You should just be straight forward with the girl your interested in. Just get in a conversation with and ask her for her number. If your straight forward you'll be facing your fear of asking the girl directly for her phone number.

 

Just flirt around with her then grab your phone and act like you're using it then say "Omg something is wrong with my phone". She says "what?". You say "It doesn't have your number in it". Something like that .

 

You could always do the cute let me see your phone and put your number in that was mentioned above. Or you could make up a work excuse like you need her to cover a shift or something to that matter, working together itself should be a good enough excuse to get it.

What fire said. I've had contests wih buddies at the beach seeing who could get the most. I lost at like 60 in one night. Honestly man confidence is everything.
Act like you KNOW she's going to give you her number. Don't hesitate or be nervous. You own the situation and you can do it. Walk right up like you've been down the road before without a problem.

 

You could plan a personal day in advance and ask her if she can cover for you or something if you need to take more, then you just ask for her number so you can contact her if you DO want/need more.

 

Ask her straight up, if she doesn't give it, she's not interested.

If you agree to go somewhere for a drink, or the cinema, those situations normally require some sort of contact method...

Think about various ways you could exchange numbers...

I don't see how that would work at all, considering she probably won't ever notice your number. I know I wouldn't. I have too many numbers in my phone and I would skip right by it. The wresting thing is a bad idea too. Most girls would be annoyed with that unless you're good friends with them.

Pickup lines are lame, especially "Hey gorgeous, I hope your day is as beautiful as you are". The majority of girls would find that weird and it sounds like you're just trying to get in her pants. Not sure how old you are, but pickup lines don't really work and she's just going to laugh at you when you leave even if she pretends to like it. The only time I would even consider using one is if I heard a really funny one and said it as a joke.

You're over complicating things. Getting a girls number isn't hard. I don't know how much you've talked to this girl, but just start talking to her one day, find out what she likes to do and eventually just ask her if she wants to do something sometime. If she says yes, then she will of course give you her number. Even if she doesn't actually want to, she's still going to probably say yes and you get her number either way. I would never just straight up ask a girl if she wants my number or just randomly ask for hers for that matter.
