Just got my new m18x alienware laptop =)

So after staying up all night in anticipation, i lay down for bed at 10am and the next thing i know the fedex guy is knocking my laptop in hand. I felt like a little boy at christmas, Filled with sheer eger and excitment of what to come. This laptop is enormise and amazing. I know most people are like it's just overpriced crap blah. I say to you kind sir, It's beautiful overprice amazingness in a box of joy! haha will post pictures here soon.

overpriced junk~, i would of personally went with an asus or something if a laptop is crucial(cheaper, same specs, and from what ive heard better quality but cannot confirm that ), if it wasnt id build my own desktop(seeing as an 18" gaming lappie would be a bitch to cart around)
Them photos look very nice tho aha.

 

I feel good for you mate. Personally building gaming/Youtube computer(s) saves much more money, and they tend to last ages.

but on a side note grats, i was doing soem research awhile back, and everyone says they are crap but really the same parts in a different brand the price really isn't that much of a difference.

i think there is just a fanboy rage to hate on alienware /shrug

OK, it will hold any game! TRUE, but it's around 3000$ if I'm mistaking, correct me.
Also, for that price, I can get a very awesome desktop, and a very awesome laptop.
I'm not saying you did it wrong, it's PERFECT but, dell is quite more overpriced than any other laptop ):

I have a custom built $1200 dekstop that i got about a year or two ago. It runs fantastic still to this day. I just got a new job (i spend every other night out of town and can't lug a desktop lol) So i decided to go with alienware because my uncle in law has one. He started with a dell gaming laptop before they bought alienware and it broke down so they coudln't replace it since it was an xps and they quit making after alenware was bought. so they gave him a brand new alienware m18x. Dell might be overpriced but a 3 year full warrenty on this laptop and if they can't fix something or a replacement part can't be obtained they ship you a brand new laptop. Dell has the best customer service/warrenty department. Not only that but each laptop is custom build for every order.

However, I think that Alienwares are one of the best gaming laptops out there.

Alienware is no longer the product it used to be. They have been going downhill ever since dell bought them out. I have/had (its sitting in storage) a pre dell Alienware and it was amazing. A friend of mine got one post dell, and it was the most overpriced piece of shit I ever laid eyes on. I'm glad you are happy, but I personally will never buy an Alienware system again.

Personally I am not one for all the LEDs and looks and stuff, but I will admit it looks nice!

My experience with their customer support was awful. You may have better experiences, and I sure hope you do. I had issues when I reformatted my Alienware M14x, and Dell practically told me to go screw myself.

Alienware works like a charm, but like Nano said... They've been going down hill since Dell acquired them. That being said, best of luck... You've got a beast at this time!
