Job - What you wanted, What you got

Just wondering when you started year 12 or uni what job you thought you'd be doing in 2-3 years time?

I wanted to be a physio and ended up as a Fitter and Turner in the Army. You? ​

 

I am already an engineer, and im happy with it.

Well currently I don't know what I want to do (nearing end of school)
When I was in kindergarten I wanted to be a builder because about the only jobs I knew existed was building, policeman, working at hospital or being a fireman haha.
Currently I work on/off part time as a laborer on a building site.

 

At the moment whatever pays the bills is good enough.

 

Building is a pretty stable job people always need something built.

 

Know im gunna get a lot of hate but a police officer. Iv also contemplated become a pro poker play but its not exactly the most conservative job. Also the life style would be a huge adjustment. Not to mention the not so stable income.

 

Well I was hired in my current job as a welder about 3 weeks ago, though all I have been doing is machining, which I have never done before. So thats weird.

 

Quite an array of jobs, initially I longed to be a scientist but I'm currently in a pastoral internship so explain that one to me xD

 

Graduated HS wanting to go to college. Now I am.

 

I'm planning on joining the Army.

 

I don't have a job, but I would like to work at a restaurant or something like that!

 

I'm Year 13 and choosing Uni courses, still not even the slightest clue what I want to do, help!

 

When I was 12 I was always so anti-drugs and now I deal as a job lol.

 

In year 12 now. Was hoping to play semi-pro footie or pro, Currently getting paid playing for a team, but doubt ill go pro. Doing a business and economics foundation degree, hoping to go on to be chartered accountant or a financial banker.

 

Wanted to be a doctor ended up being a medical transcriptionist.

 

I'll be going to Stanford University in two years, hoping to end up in med school and potentially become a (cardiothoracics) surgeon.

 

wanted to be a welder, i am a welder.

 

I wanted to be in the army, i joined the army and realized i was an idiot the army is corrupt so i got out and now i am currently a conductor on the rail road.

 

How did you get out? Did you finish your 4 years or get a dishonorable discharge?
