Is it even worth botting anymore?

I used to be an avid botter, but after the nuke, I've just completely given up on the game. I have no intention of coming back, but I'm just wondering if it is even worth botting anymore? It seems like all of you are going through way to much trouble to make it worth it. I also understand that there are going to be future nukes. How exactly will these stop color bots or bots that seem to still be an issue?

 

I really hate Runescape now, but it's so addicting.

 

Haha. Unfortunately, but I just don't see how botting is even profitable and safe anymore. Again, it seems like WAY to much of a hassle for what it's worth. Plus the game itself has changed since I started. I'm really hoping that 2006scape is going to be amazing.

 

It's always 'worth it'.
Starting Up/Running a Macro is always going to be less work than doing it manually.

It's not 'so much trouble', all bots are pretty damn easy to set up and use.

As long as people play the game, and do not enjoy certain repetitive tasks, then macroing is 'worth it'.

Kind of an odd thread with various random topics.
1) Is it worth it
2) You are quitting/Have no interest
3) How will color bots/etc last/survive nukes.
What are you mainly asking/wondering here?

 

I'm not sure, really. It's just a little perplexing as to why bots
are still so popular. Granted...they are easier then doing the work manually, but I feel like there are way to many bots to even keep track of. Are bots still a problem? Why is Jagex wasting time if they aren't even that big of an issue anymore? I know they go against everything Jagex stands for, but it should just be accepted that bots will be in the game forever.

 

Oh, and I was real general with my answer, I meant botting is so addicting because of the ease of it. Being able to say that you can run a bot for someone and get paid is addicting.

But meh, I'd say it is worth it if we're talking literally.

Don't get my wrong, botting was and still probably is EXTREMELY fun.

 

Botting is worth it, depending on what your doing.

 

I think it's worth botting the small/repetitive stuff for an overall goal.
I ran iDungeon Lite for 10-14 Hours a day until I went from 72-83 Dungeoneering, agility is also okay to do. If you're just botting to make extra money or not for the general goal of playing the game- It's not worth it in the long run.

 

With botting there's always a risk. You just have to stop botting before the nukes (shortly before) and wait for it to be safe after the nuke.

 

This is an outrageous statement . just because you dont like the game anymore doesnt mean other people dont, botting is and always will be popular as it gets you farther in game to make it easier, its often used as a money making method among other things . The reasons you once botted are the reasons people still do . /

 

You just need to know where to look.

 

Not a problem for my bot. It's worth it to me because I can easily bot to Max cape and multiple 200mil exp skills and not have a worry. In the end I can always sell the account for hundreds more than I paid on bots

 

NEVER got banned before. Keep botting

 

*Knocks on wood* Honestly for me it's worth the time, I'm currently interning across the country but have my trusty bot at work back in New York (in Seattle until break, and until the end of May). As I said though, it gives me something to look at during classes, whilst sitting and studying in the library, etc. Ultimately, it comes down to what your personal definition of "worth it" is. As far as safety goes, you have a variety of bots to choose from. My personal favorite is RID but it's premium; if you have money to toss around go for it I highly recommend RID. Otherwise, there's a handful of free color/injection bots!

why wouldn't it be, I don't know about you, but I bot more for the fun of it. Being able to manage my accounts and watch them grow is awesome. I could do it for profit but meh. Most of the time i'll get an account to some 99 then be too afraid to bot on him anymore lol.

 

That's what I thought originally, now it's more along the lines of "I'll knock a few more down then I'll leave a couple to do legitimately" ha.

 

I find it very hard to grind in runescape legitimately after I've experianced botting. It seems such a waste of time when you can just click start on a bot and a few hours later have better skills
