Looking to upgrade GFX Cards

Currently have 480's, looking to upgrade. Thinking of going 660's.... What do you guys think? Going to buy 2 and run them SLI to replace my 480 SLI setup currently.

Any suggestions?

No more than $500 on each card. Preferably around 300-400/ea

Near gtx 680 performance and it's only $409 per card, comes with 2 borderlands 2 gift codes that you can sell to get some money back too.

 

Hmmmm..... I can probably sell my 480's for ~125-150 each as well seeing as they still go for $200/ea on newegg.

 

I'd go with the GTX 670. If you try Amazon you can even find them for under $400 new or a little above $300 used.

 

Just dropped a little more than originally intended, but fuck it. Just got the 4gb 670's. They'll get here Saturday.

I just searched a bit into this and as far as my knowledge goes now you wouldn't really benefit from that. Looks like a dedicated Physx card is only used when you would have a fast card and a slow card - using SLI wouldn't work well but dedicating the slower card would improve the overall performance. Considering you have 2 top of the range cards in SLI I doubt you will benefit from using a 480 as physx card.

Have you had a chance to try them out yet? I recommend BF3 or Skyrim or something to see how good they run.

Just to add - Playing BF3 on MAX settings on tri-screen resolution with absolutely NO lag what-so-ever. Not sure of the exact FPS (will get a program to test that later, some suggestions would be nice) but I can guarantee it's 80+.
