How should i secure a bought account

First off, spent like awhile trying to decide where to put this so if this is in wrong place i'm really sorry!

I am thinking about buying an account from gold4fun, i know people will say why not just buy from sythe.. the reason is price :p the account i am looking for i can guarantee will be more expensive here (if anyone had 1 similar), and gold4fun are offering an account i like for a decent price (level 3 with 90 rc)

Now.. I have been looking around for the past hour or so for ways to delete recoveries..email, as much as possible really, so basically are there effective ways to secure an account bought from a gold site, as i see many stories about the original owner recovering the account etc

If there is a thread i might have missed you think would be good please do link it :)

    Thanks guys

How should i secure a bought account

Never used it tbh only just came back after about a year. So if i set up JAG on the account (providing it hasn't already got it on) Should i still maybe be cautious about putting things on the account if recoveries are still set that i didn't set, i just had a look at jag and to put jag on you need an email, i assume the account i buy will most likely have an email already connected, meaning i can't put JAG on using my own email.
Suppose when i buy i will just have hope i will allow me to edit things and hope live support help :p

Any guides on how to remove recoveries if possible would be great help too :D

Oh really that cheap? i always imagined level 3s with high rc as rare and demanded :p but thanks!! i will keep looking around, as i am new to sythe (previously was with rsbotting.com which moved) i will probably have to go first, so will only be going with trusted members, i will make a post requesting an account in the correct forum sometime today.

Thanks June!! you might have just saved me some money (and worry):)

Scyther, some advice. When you buy a acc, you can take off the email off their acc. DO NOT BUY A ACC IF THEY STILL HAVE EMAIL ON IT. MAKE SURE THEY TAKE IT OFF BEFORE YOU PURCHASE. Jagex fucked it all up, whoever has the registered email to the acc, practically owns it. So do not believe anyone who sais they forgot the email set to it. Because now, to change the password you need to access the email registered with the account. Just a heads up incase you didnt knw :)

Yeah i took the email off my main just to make sure it was possible earlier today.

If June is right in saying level 3s with high rc are that cheap then i think i will try and find 1 around here, i have seen 1 guy in the account section selling a 99 rc level 3 and has an offer of 40m (of course we don't know if the offer is legit or not :p) If anyone happens to know prices of these sort of accounts lemme know :p

If i do happen to go with gold4fun i will make sure their live chat checks everything before i buy

Buy from a reputable person on sythe. The lvl 3 with 90+ rc does not cost much man. Atmost 30m imo. No, you can have multiple accounts on one email. I currently have 5 accounts on my email. :)

How should i secure a bought account

I bought an account on Sythe a while back (which is 100% secure now, mind you). While purchasing, I asked if there was a connected email, which there was. I was a bit frightened that I would buy the account and they'd recover it. As soon as I bought it, I sent in a request for an email change and changed the password like 8 times. That's what I recommend you do, although its a lot more risky. The guy I bought the account from didn't know the exact email the account had, so I had to risk it. Good luck when you buy!

How should i secure a bought account

I have to be honest, i've been looking over at another site and the level 3's with 99 rc are going for almost half price over there so will probably be buying over there, just gotta wait for my stuff to sell on ebay :D thanks for the help however guys

I personally don't trust people who say they don't know the exact email, that's normally a hint at they want to recover suppose some will somehow forget (although i believe it tells you the account its linked to?) :p

How should i secure a bought account

You can do whatever you want to an account you buy but even if you have the email registed, recovery questions set, and JAG set up the original owner can ALWAYS still recover. No matter what you do the original owner has a chance of getting the account back. He can post an appeal in the lost accounts section of the runescape forums and say he was hacked and they will lock the account and let him do a manual appeal (like how old appeals where done, without using an email address). Jagex will take YOUR EMAIL OFF the account and if he succeeds in manually recovering it he can register his email and the account is his again.

Always be cautious and wait awhile before puting anything on the account. Even with JAG and email someone can post in the jagex forums in the "my account got hijacked" section and get the account back.

Setting up JAG and changing the email practically guarantees its yours. I have bought MANY accs even from non-reputable people as long as they change the email, they will not get the acc back and believe me people have tried to from me.. no one succeeded :)

This is the worst advice ever . There is no such thing as a 100% secure account and atleast 60% of the accounts traded on sythe get recovered eventually dont tell people anything is safe here or anywhere else because the fact is if the original owner EVER wants their account back they can and will get it I suggest sythe over using a 3rd party website because you can actually find out about previous owners and what not where goldforfun or various other websites buy accounts from anyone and everyone. Account trading is very shady business, dont downplay the risk without knowing them.

OT get powerbot and bot runespan for 20-30 hours, you will have easily 90+ runecrafting and still be lvl 3. All the accounts with that high of lvl rc on lvl 3s are MORE than likely to be botted anyways especially if they are being sold so why not cut out the middle man save some cash and get some piece of mind knowing its not going to be recovered by botting it yourself.

Thanks for the responses guys, yeah i have been looking at just botting instead of buying, but thought i would just ask some questions as i don't have money in my bank till tuesday. Is 20-30 hours really all it takes O_O wow, i will probably give it a try.

Sorry if this isn't allowed here, if it isn't tell me and i'll edit my post :p but can people tell me their preferred runespan bot? AutoRunespan is the 1 i have been looking at.

    Cheers
