PowerBot - hackers

Yesterday was my birthday and i just got a birthday present: account cleaned.
I used powerbot and had my account details there, except for my PIN to prevent anything but they got that too. I wasnt using powerbot nor their java thing while absent. What a day..

 

So out of the thousands of people who use powerbot you got hacked? Out of the thousands who use powerbot and have multiple phat sets and max cash stacks you are the one who got hacked?

Powerbot is clean its your fault you downloaded a keylogger or rat.

 

Yes i am, i also had a good wealth mate. I didint download any keylogged or rat , nor opened any site that i shouldnt, and im 200% sure of that!

i had my account settings on it, thats all i can say, my computer is safe and virus free, i dont see money making guides or anything. I only use andd visit powerbot

 

you didnt get hacked from powerbot. even if you did no one would ever believe you w/o any proof. this thread can be closed lol....

 

You should set up Jagex Account Guardian (JAG) so it doesn't happen again.

Sorry about your loss. But I doubt it was PowerBot. Either way, you should always be cautious about using your Runescape account details outside of Runescape -- especially on Runescape-cheating software.

You'll never have to enter your bank pin on the Runescape website itself, so if you've done that, it was a phishing site.

Other than that, the only other way someone could have got your bank-pin was by guessing (highly unlikely), someone knowing it, or by someone watching you enter it (like if you have a RAT). If you've been ratted, then losing Runescape money is probably the least of your problems. Scan your computer.

Do you think i have any reason to blame them for this except for hacking my account? no i dont since i love their scripts. Do you happen to know that some of the bots are made by players? They could easialy snap a logger on the script. Ofc i cant get proof, its not like i vidded someone going on my account while celebrating my birthday -.- . I have before and after screens and my account was left in Miscellania, and i had it at edge after going hybrid pk (will upload later)

Flat out it WASNT powerbot, if you used a script that wasnt on the sdn there is a very minute possibility that did it. If its on the SDN its throughly checked for anything malicious, there are many people who use powerbot with max cash stacks and various rares with their accounts untouched. Powerbot is a BUSINESS they are after your irl money, not your GP.. if they hacked people that would drive away all the stupid fucks paying monthly for VIP which is assure you is substantially more lucrative than "hacking" people here and there in the long run. Run a scan, dont make accusations and find a solution to the problem before placing blame.

 

First of all, before you even scan your computer, I would suggest using a clean computer to change all of your passwords for any important vitals such as your bank account info, logins and etc. This ensures that no body can have access to your files from here. Then, like suggested above, run the scanner and try to remove any malicious files that might have stolen your personal information (in this case, your runescape account details).

If I were you, I would write down a list of important programs I like to keep, maybe transfer some important files onto a safe computer, and then completely reinstall the infected computer (like resetting it to factory settings). This ensures you of a clean computer. After it is all set up, go to your list of important programs and download/install. This should take care of your problem.

did you clicked any java application? sometimes you won't know about it when you got a virus/trojan

 

Closing, it wasn't Powerbot.
