What do you think the total value of the runescape economy is?

I believe jagex released it on their website about a month ago. I'll look for it now.

Found it, it was 28 Trillion and here's part of ad they had posted on the runescape site.



That's insane if you think about it considering the only way gold can be introduced into the economy is by alching and selling items to shops aside from a few quest rewards?

They [Jagex] can add or take away any amount of GP they wish too.

 

Probably worth about $15,000,000 in total. Now the game in itself would NEVER sell for even 15 million dollars. The game itself is worth a couple million, more than likely.

Where is everyone getting 500m from?

Well 28 Trillion coins is around 14m?
So im estimating around 20-25m.

 

Well I think it would depend if one person somehow bought "all" the gp and items in rs, then wouldnt it basically make the price of it go up because not everyone would have gold and people would pay more for it.

I would think 15m USD would be a reasonable amount.

 

Jagex's economy about $500M easily, obviously stuff is recycled but with all the drops from monsters everyday...

Possibly over 50 million, what if jagex are the one's black marketing aswell. All they care for is money so selling rsgp means more money.

Then again jagex can add however amount they want by spawning..

 

You just gotta take the estimated amount of coins in circulation, which people have been quoting as 28 trillion, which is 28,000,000,000,000 coins, or 28 Million Million Coins. Now Mills sell on the "black market" for average $0.6-0.7 USD if i'm correct? so 28,000,000 x 0.65 $ = somewhere in the region of $15-20Million USD for the valuation.

This is obviously based on the 28 Trillion coin figure, which I guess seems accurate.

 

20 million. Theres like 15m in coins alone. And i only think the total item wworth would be like 5m total. so 20m ish.
