Sold my truck, bought a new one, got 5k left over, Where to invest :O

Well, i recently sold my truck, and bought a newer truck, somehow got 5k left over. Dont know how but i did

I have 5 grand left over, but i do not know where to invest it. I dont wanna go blow it all on shit i want because it will be a waste. Where do yall reccomend i invest my money

 

Don't? Money doesn't always need to be spent. Deposit it in the bank and save it until you need it.

 

^This. You could also spend some money on your new truck. Maybe buy a really good sound system or some rims. Whatever you like!

invest it into a bank, find one with a nice interest level and just put it in the bank. save for something more important later in life because at some point you might need it

 

To pimp my truck how i want it, itll be 100 for stereo, 200 for amp with 2 12s. so ill have 4700. The thing is i dont wanna spend it on useless crap. i wanna learn how to invest and where.

I'm in a similar situation, in which I have money that I do not know what to do with.

What I first did with my money was buy what I absolutely needed, and spent it in smething that I have been thinking of buying or using money on for a while that I didn't necessarily need, but wanted. (I donated $50 to sythe.)

I didn't buy any stocks or start and investment though. The money that I have now is the only money that I have to spend, so it's all sitting and waiting in my bank, waiting for the time that it will be needed.
(I do receive $40 a week from my parents, but it's all spent on food.)

So unless that $5000 is the only cash that you have to spend on your needs and wants, just keep it in your bank and don't pay much attention to it, until you need it.

If not, like some people said above, start and investment.

Isn't the interest given over a period of time? Seems like a waste to me of course if he can't find anything good to do with the money it's a liable option.

What to do with the money? With the amount of money you have you can make great progress flipping on ebay and craigslist. I can tell you want to flip if you're interested.

 

bonds are decent, even though they are pretty low of a interest rate. if not, i have my college fund stored in a CD, which have a slightly higher interest rate.

 

Buy a bunch of weed, then take your homies on a road trip to celebrate your new car!
