Botany Bay update.

I just got banned for "Macroing - Goldfarming".

I haven't botted for over a month, and never botted for gold farming. WTF.

I saw the big banned screen come up, was force logged out. Went to message center; nothing there. Now account status won't even load up.

yippee.

Edit: Have removed specifics of what I was doing when botted, as it seems to be some sort of problem with the new system, which hopefully means account back. Therefore better not give too much away

You botted, live up to it. You havent botted for over a month?. You still botted, which is still bannable, and you got caught.

If you botted 5 years ago, JAGEX can ban you today. You still cheated.

When your GF dumps you because you cheated on her, try explaining to her this "But baby that was over a month ago!!! Why!!"..............

Jagex has logs and logs for the past years of account activity, I don't see how activity a month ago would be a mistake for a ban today.

 

wrong. they dont keep logs and logs and logs of diff players for years thats complete and total bullshit, you shouldnt just make stuff up to scare people unless you have some proof, in the meantime im calling BIGTIME bullshit on your info.

Jagex had an error, lots of accounts were randomly banned upon login, they said from what i read that things should be sorted out by now, if not post on the official forums. This happened to a friend of mine and he got 20 free spins upon getting his account back, there was no rollback done for any of them so dont worry.

Actually their records don't go back years. More like ~6 months or so.

Jagex also stated in their Live Stream about bots that if you stopped botting by the time Botany Bay was released, you wouldn't be banned.

Although the OP did bot a month ago, due to the statements made by Mod MMG and Mod Mark, he shouldn't have been banned, and it probably has to do with the glitch in the system.

 

I'm pretty sure it's because of the bugged system they released.

I'm glad they apologized at least.
