Bot Busting Reports After 17 September.

    1. You said that Jagex was monitoring the CLIENT that is loading RS. RiD does not load a client. RiD plays through the 100% legal website or through Jagex's 100% legal official RS Client. Therefore, you cannot detect and ban a player based on what client they are using when they are using the same exact ones that are legally provided and are legally used by tens of thousands of players at any given moment in time.

So yes, you did say client, and yes, you did mention a program being used to "access" Runescape. RiD does not do anything with loading RS. It never, ever interacts or touches any piece of game code for the RS applet. You cannot ban someone simply because they are playing RS through the official Runescape website, or through the official Runescape Client. That's what tens of thousands of legitimate players do at any given time of the day.

And since I know you're going to bring up this part, I'll address it ahead of time:

What you are referring to here in the bolded underlined portion of this quote, is process analysis. The only way this would be possible would be if Jagex changed their terms of service, and changed their certificate to allow them to actually scan your computer for specific processes. This is not only illegal if they do not notify their users and have their user's accept this condition, but even if they did go the legal route, this would cause uproar and panic in the RS community. When the Java certificate was updated recently, it carried the default Microsoft message and people freaked out. Mod Bro had to explain that it was safe and that it was the default statement. Now imagine if everyone freaked out, and then Jagex told their users that by accepting the certificate and TOS they are legally allowing Jagex to scan their computer for shit. Not likely to receive much positive feedback from the community. But let's just say for example's sake that they do successfully put out a system that scans for processes, in RiD's case, it would need to look for javaw processes. Sounds like the right idea, except here's the problem: do you have any idea how many different programs there are unrelated to RS that run javaw processes? Hell, one of my programs I have to download for school so I can take lessons and tests from home uses a javaw process. So what, is Jagex gonna ban me simply because I have this program open in the background? Also, on a final note on this process scanning theory, is that both Mod MMG AND Mod Mark stated on camera during the Live streams that their new Bot Watch detection system does NOT scan the player's files or processes, and it is ALL server-side, and it simply monitors player behavior in-game. Not to mention the fact that all 11 of the bans were 5 days BEFORE Botany Bay was released, and before Bot Watch was officially completely launched.

    2. I never said RiD was not a program, period. You really should brush up on your reading skills if you think I said that. RiD uses Java for his bots, and the process running is a javaw process. It uses the Robot class in Java to physically control your computer's mouse and keyboard. When interacting with RS, it looks exactly the same as if you grabbed the mouse yourself and played. Even if Jagex were to take a picture of the RS applet while you were botting with RiD, it would look exactly the same as a normal human player.
