Idea for Safe Account purchase.

if somebody is selling an account, who is the original owner, and really is not looking to take the account they are selling back, they should be more then happy to let the buyer put small payments on the account every now and then. the system i have come up with, will mainly be to keep people happy and from wanting to hack back the account, by offering a constant stream of money, progressively getting larger as years go by, as we all know the original owner of a runescape account can always recover the password, which is why this method makes complete sense as the buyer is at very little risk to begin with, and the incentive for the owner not hacking back the account is the constant flow of money he/she would be receiving. if the owner is not willing to do this, then it is probably clear they want the account back. This is how accounts NEED to be sold, and remember, the owner can take the account back at ANY time

 

Payment plans are for the buyer and seller to work out between themselves.

 

Is this a troll thread, or just a bad idea. It's one or the other, but yeah this is a horrible idea for both parties. It's good if the money is paid off then and there instead of waiting for the money to be gone for whatever the reason may be.

 

This isn't going to work. First, the account can still be recovered after all or some of the payments are collected-it's free money either way for the scammer .

Secondly, most people even the legit ones won't agree to this. Just because someone wants all of the money up front, that does not mean they are a scammer.

Also this isn't something that we can force people to do. If you want to buy an account and you feel like proposing this idea to the seller then go for it. We're not going to stop you, but again, we can't be forcing other people to do this

 

Yes, in the end, this becomes more like renting the account, as the other person will have to repeatedly gain access to the account, but if you end up trading it - in the long run it'll be like paying the scammer until he gets bored and takes it back.

All this would do is turn trades into longer ordeals.

 

yes but something you guys dont seem to understand, is you would need to make the payments small and spread out at first, so that way the buyers risk is so small, that it just makes the seller want the buyer to keep the account so he will pay more, if they buyer seizes to pay, then the account easily gets taken back...

 

and i didnt say people should have to do this to buy the account, i said its a good extra precaution, aslong as the payments are spread out long enough to where the buyer isnt risking much and still keeping the seller happy =)

 

If the buyer and seller want to work something out like this, then by all means they can do it if they please. We're not going to enforce anything like this, however. Sorry but denied.
