Terrible officiating ruining the NFL

The NFL is losing it's integrity. These Division 3 referees just can't keep up with the speed of play they're being paid to referee. They're ruining games (i.e the Seahawks - Packers game tonight).

What are your thoughts?

• What do you see in the future for the NFL if this continues?
• What can be done about this?
• How do you think the NFL will react after the seahawks -packers game?

 

They really just need to pay the normal refs what they want/deserve.

 

Such a bullshit call...

 

With all the crap calls going on there have been a few decent calls. It seems like there is a flag on every second play though, penalties don't happen that often. I really hope that the NFL resolves this quickly like they did with the lockout. In the lockout they realised that they will lose a lot of $ with the lockout so they resolved it on time. I hope they resolve this in a timely manner as it is sometimes painful to watch.

 

Honestly, The refs have made some bad calls but it is not all their fault. For example if the real refs didn't want to be paid for games they don't work, and didn't want such a high pay raise they could come back. (Research if you don't want to take my word for it) Bottom Line, I am a bears fan and I think it was an interception but, On the flip side of that there has to CONCLUSIVE Evidence to overturn a Call that was made on the field and I just don't think there was. It looked like he intercepted it but they never showed a shot from the other end so you could see the ball clearly. Also, let me say this the loss is on greenbay (The best offense in the league apparently) 4 touchdowns in 3 games? Also, when you only score 12 points what do you expect. The calls were bad but I'd be more pissed off at the corner for greenbay then anyone else. You are taught as soon as you start football on those plays just to bat the ball down. So clearly he touched the ball first and he should have just smacked it to the ground rather then going for the interception and the packers would have won the game that simple really.

 

The play should have been dead after Golden Tate KNOCKED OVER SAM SHIELDS

 

No austin on hell mairy plays you NEVER see Pi's called blanton or not don't make excuses for the corner he blew it when he didn't knock down the ball there was no reason to try and pick it and be a stat padder.

 

I agree, the refs are making a lot of bad calls imo.

 

Yes they are making bad calls but the packers could have prevented it even after the pass interference because let me remind you.. on those plays pass interference is never called... The db for greenbay could have just knocked it down that simple. and not have went and tried for the pick

I don't think they will to be honest because if they did that they wouldn't get their paychecks it would be just like a hold out.. Which in the case of a hold out you receive no money. As we have all noticed all the nfl/players care about is money.

no i dont think the packers care at this point. Tj lang is already going to be fined for cussing out the refs and roger goodell. clay matthews has posted roger goodell's personal phone number online. i wouldnt be surprised if they start to sit out of games

 

Your right they should call it on hail marrys but they don't do your research mate.. analists and all agree that pi is hardly ever called on hail marrys when its the last play of the game...what killed them was the bad pi called on sheilds.

 

??? that's the point im trying to make.. yes they barely call PI but he literally knocked over sam shields one of their top defensive backs.. that should have sealed the deal.

 

The Refs Completely suck!

 

I think we fans need to pull together and boycott a game but in my own kind of way. A bunch of fans need to buy tickets (to make the game televised) and then just stay in the parking lot during the game. On TV the game will be completely empty. That would really get the NFL's attention

 

How can you say they should have one time they technically should every time austin but my point is they won't and they never have.. When your a DB you are taught to knock the ball down on that play why the hell would he go for an interception a knock down would seal the deal for you. Because he is a stat padder and the more i watch it the more the catch was simultaneously because if you remember the rule they implemented a few years back.. The wr has to come down with the ball in complete possion. Now, on his way down Tate got his other hand in there and by the time they hit the ground i'd say they both had hands in there therefore it is a simultanious catch and possion goes to the WR just like in baseball it goes to the runner. So, I think the PI down the sideline was a trash call. You can ignore the pi in the endzone because there NEVER called so no one can complain about that because why would you randomly start calling it. AS for the interception if you read both rules it was closer then you think. DB should have just swatted the ball and they would have won bottom line.

 

Ya he didn't though. Watching the replay a few times it seems more and more that it was a bad call to me though as the DB did have the ball in his possession for longer. It was a bad judgement call by the DB to go for an interception in that position yes, but in the end I still think he should have come out on top in that one.

 

I guess lol, Possibly honestly, everyone has their viewpoints so.
