Coming Back to Runescape After A Year

I've quit playing RS for about a year, and I'm thinking of coming back.
To those players who are still playing this game not for botting purposes but for the gameplay:

Is it worth it, or is it just something that you do to kill time?

Do you enjoy the games storylines? If so, you may enjoy questing still. The odd mini-game is also still fun

 

Yeah, I was going to start regardless f the possible negative feedback anyways xD
I guess that the nostalgia excited me, as if I were a kid.

Now to find people to chill with on RS...

 

Most of the players are just immature, thick, newfags. But if you can find a decent FC or CC, you'll enjoy it still.. that's if you're not dreading the EoC.

 

I don't even play apart from the odd questing order currently.
Personally I feel its just grown tiresome how every thing is basically the same actions just training a different skill. Some minigames are tolerable but that's about it for me. All to his own opinion though.

I started playing after a year again at the start of summer, It's worth it but as someone said, find a decent FC/CC, usually both, then you'll be able to boss+minigame and that's worth it

 

Game is very boring right now tbh.
I don't have any idea what to do...
I haven't logged in for about 2 weeks
Just stay away from the game, it will just waste your time

 

I quit, the game is poop now.

 

I mainly bot, but i still enjoy doing some of the newer things like the daily challenges to blow time when im bored.
Ive been playing runescape forever now and i tried quitting but it attracts me back somehow.
If any of my friends are ever on i like to go pvp or pvm with them. Only one RL friend still plays RS though :/
I remember when there was like 10-20 of us who would go around doing things.

 

You're licky, i only had one rl friend who played runescape

He left the game in '04 though

 

I've played since 2002, I have a lot of friends who play close to everyday.

Apart from absolutely dreading the EoC I do enjoy the game, just because I'm in a nice little community where I can do as I please on the game and still have a chat with everyone.

 

I quit 3 years ago, started in 01, sure i've thought about coming back but all the downfalls i can think of out weigh the positive. If you enjoy your life, don't go back.

 

I'm probably going to quit after bot nuke, not because I bot, but because RSGP prices will go up, i'll sell all my gold, and i'll quit. Game is so boring, and recent upgrades are just annoying me.

I miss 08-09 runescape the most.

 

I've barely botted any account, but I find that there's lots of fun things to do on RS if you are doing it with friends, like dungoneering on skype or pking together, also if you can get an irl friend to play with you it is actually really fun I've done it before, we started pures together, so basically just try to get friends to do things with you on the game and it's tons of fun.

 

Better to stay retired then to fall back into it m8.

 

Don't listen to anyone else. Do what you want to do. Obviously you showed that you can restrain yourself if needed, so you have nothing to loose. Do what you want.

 

i myself just started 2 weeks ago, yes i think it is worth it i enjoy skilling and just fooling around, so yea, i think it is worth it

 

Well, i don't think you would like it if you were an old time player. You might like it though so give it a shot. I went back and hated it.

 

I came back this month and so far I've logged in 3 times. Did the 5 quests that were new since my last login on the first day and the other two times barely did anything.

If you've got no friends from your old days you are going to have a hard time making new ones, at least i have. Seems like I just can't stand RS players anymore. Lol.

Also it changed to much for me to remind me of the old, and my framerate is waaaay to low to play decently, no idea how to fix. Stupid 'good' graphics.

Gonna try RSC today
