    Ok, so I cant find a way to lock the scroll bar ( I would like to know how to do this for firefox and/or chrome) say im on a certain position on a page and i click a link or button and it opens a new tab and when i close that new tab i want the original page to stay where i had it. this doesent happen everytime but happens enough to annoy me. I appreciate any help! plugins/addons or a program ...suggest anything

    The issue is on your end. Both FF and Chrome know to keep the position the same
