    Help please

I gave my RS info to an advanced phisher but changed PW straight away, accidentally downloaded a virus fake java installer .exe but didn't install (detected virus .exe straight away). Could I have a gKeylogger or RAT attached to one of my c: files? Please help

If your anti-virus thwarted it before using the file you should be okay, although I'm not terribly knowledgable on the subject typically if you didn't open the file it cannot affect you.

AVG is pretty good. Although I use Kaspersky mainly, seeing as it's #2 rated worldwide. AVG should be ok though. Stay away from Norton.

I know it only runs on a rep system, but are there any other reasons to do this?
I'm asking because it's currently the only thing I have installed to protect me.

norton needs tons of computer ressources, it slows down your pc
better use a smaller program with the same functions

I stay away from it simply because it slows your PC down. If you're going to get a good Anti virus, get one that doesn't slow down your PC i.e. Kaspersky.

People have lost way more than 6m in the past, through RATs, keyloggers, phishing, or even Social Engineering. Consider this a lesson, which cost you 6m, if you want to think of it like that. Only enter your password on www.runescape.com or www.jagex.com

No it was like a lawsuit threat I was too focused on the email which is social engineering to notice, most of the time I notice phishing emails but this is really advanced phishing. Pretty stupid of me

Follow Jagex's steps after a hack.
Always scan 1st. It doesn't sound like you have one though, so don't worry too much.

I've seen the email, just ignore shit like that. Only pay attention to messages that appear in your in-game inbox. Anything through email just ignore it.
