Reason for my self requested ban.

Hi all,

Tought i'd just owe an appology and explanation to everyone i was in trade with or doing business with. I've resolved all of that so no worries there.

story time:

I noticed a while back. my "mule" i'd call it lmfao. was in my eyes rollbacked.

this happened to me before on another account for a smaller amount.

After getting some good winnings dicing. I noticed i dced alot. coincidence or not. i have no idea.
Later that time i log out.
and a couple of minutes back in. since i was installing JAG(jagex account guardian). When i logged back in. i found my account at edgeville with 0gp in my pouch. while i logged out in the ge. with my cash. inside of my pouch.
Either way i knew i was either hacked or keylogged/rat'd. I was talking to Djweasel at the time and asked to ban me immediatly. after some help of Moonglare, Laptop65, -Ryan, etc. i got the rat off of my computer. i also received an email from Jagex(account guardian) that a foreign ip adress (wich i cannot dispose publicly) had tried to enter my account.
I changed all my passwords and i'm now positive my accounts are safe. and so is my computer.

Sorry to all who were dissapointed in me. But i still have no idea where i got the rat from. I'm going to go over the ip adress with a mod. since someone found out the ip matched a certain individual on sythe.

 

Don't feel like anyone is disappointed with you. It wasn't your fault at all. It's unfortunate that there are people out there trying to rip you and your customers off and tarnish your reputation. Hopefully you can make your computer that little bit more safe so you can prevent these dramas in the future but don't feel like everyone is disappointed with you.

RATs are some serious business, if it turns out that IP match is right, he might have the feds on his ass soon enough.

But the fact that it could be a fellow sythe member makes me uneasy.

 

I think if it's a Sythe member, people should be notified for their own safety, irrelevant of their ban.

RATs and hackings happen to almost everyone at some point mate, consider yourself lucky no one was scammed with your account. Welcome back.
