Soloing Arma

so basically i want to know wether to get spectral spirit shield or use chaotic kiteshield. No getting anything else its strictly between those two. I understand chaotic kite isnt the best for ranging but it reduces range hits by 14% which i think is huge.

My equipment right now:
Arma helm
Arma chestplate
Arma chainskirt
Chaotic cross bow
Glaiven boots
Swift gloves
Ranging ammy
Diamond bolts (e)
and archers ring

any suggestions would be great,
i also have unicorn stallion and dreadnips

 

I would use CKS for Armadyl because of the ranged soaking or a EEK for ranged/magic soaking. Spectral has no soaking, so it's not really worth it.

 

Never use a chaotic kiteshield at armadyl. It has negative magic defence bonus. At armadyl gwd, you are going to be praying range. You generally won't be hit by much melee attacks, therefore mage is the only damage you really will be taking. You're going to want to maximise your magic defence. If you were to use a dungeoneerig shield, eagle-eye kiteshield would be the best option. Otherwise, get spectral, dfs or bss.

 

Spectral or DFS good def bonuses.. but you don't want ANYTHING that is negative mage def like pTank said because if you do have a neg mage bonus you'll be taking more hits then normal.

 

Add ruby's to your equipment.
