Car Scene - Anyone else?

I don't care how fast it is, I just need one!

 

I have an '03 civic with an aftermarket sound system and 6k hid lights.

I'm getting an '11 Civic soon and gonna throw those hids in that - get some yellow fogs and tint my windows. Probably tint my taillights too.

 

I agree. If I'm on the streets I'm usually cruising at the speed limit and not wasting gas racing because my Camaro has a 3.73 gear set for running it at the track, if I sped everywhere in town I'd go threw a tank of gas 2x fast. HOWEVER, I will admit... if I'm in town, on the highway, or just out with my car and I see competition that I can get next to... I'm ripping it lol.

 

my dad has a white one, of the 1st generation of Scion cars and it gets great MPG and it has a ton of space, and rides very smooth i personally love the car.

Don't hate until you ride in one.

OT: I need my license -_- too damn lazy.

If i were to get a car i'd want a jeep, one of the newer looking ones.

but for the 1st car i buy i'm going to get a Honda civic hatchback with a nice looking body kit on it because the cars themselves are ugly AF, but with a good engine ect. they are good cars.

We have one of the better drag strips in the US just a couple miles from my house. The majority of people in car scenes today are either really really good at what they do or they are rice as fuck or brostang racers. There seems to be no middle ground.
We are the home of the former fastest accelerating dragster in the world (6.83 MK IV Supra) who just got beat like two weeks ago. The owner of this Supra and I are very good friends and are in a sponsorship called "We Three Kings" (the top three times for the season)
1)MK IV Supra was running high 6's to early 7's
2) My extremely modified Torino was running mid 7's
3) Skyline was running mid 7's
Those times are in standard format, and not elevation factored times. Just a heads up.

I own a 1987 Fiat Uno 45S, the 2nd last left licensed in my country.

And then I own 2 Project cars, a 1987 Peugeot 309 and a 1986 Daihatsu Charade.












I've btw spent 250k on that Fiat lol.

The Charade had been standing since 2001, and the Charade since 2003.

Dude! I saw one of those today, I was shocked. Had a look at who was driving it, unsurprisingly it was an Asian female. Tbh in Australia, it's only the Asians who buy cars designed in such a way.

 

i have gone to a few meets here in socal but im not really too into the "scene" i guess you would say. i am however an enthusiast. mainly a vw/audi enthusiast. i own a 2004 vw GLI 1.8t. 6 speed manual, with too many mods to list. both mechanically and otherwise. nothing like shifting through a nicely tuned turbocharged euro piece of ass

 

As much as I agree with all of the people that say what's under the hood is what counts, I'm guilty of going against it.

I love my car for my 4 12"kickers in the trunk. Then again, my dad wouldn't ever let me have a car with a v8, seeing as I got pulled over going 130 in his car

But my friends who live like 30 minutes away have a few custom rides. We usually all go on cruises to car shows that, besides appearances by Swift and a few other big companies, aren't so much about custom rides.

 

This is my whip 2012 bmw 328i , black interior, now tinted all the way around 15 percent, and 12 inch alpine subwoofers.

fwiw, g37's are slow. Theyre a sports car, but by NO means a performance automobile...They're not in the class of muscle cars. Hell, I can name multiple SUV's and Trucks that can outrun them, stock for stock. As a matter of fact, one of those SUV's is sitting in my garage.

 

I own a Mercedes SLK55 AMG. I wouldn't trade this car for the world. When I bought this car in 2011 it was a 2010 so I got a good deal on it. I did not intend to get such a high end car but it was a family friend who really needed quick money so I helped him out. I had saved up enough money from buying Apple stock in 08 to be able to purchase it. There's nothing quite like it. Blessed.
