17500 hours in CS:S WTF?

What the fuck, that is a shitload of hours. As far as I know there's no way to edit it or anything. Looking at his creation date he's been here since the beginning and obviously loves CS. My highest hours is like a 900 on MW2.

 

I've have seen some other danish guys having 5k-7k hours in css but not ever over 10k and this shocked me.....
I would really like to see some account with more hours, doesnt matter what game it is...

 

315.8 hrs in the past 2 weeks, thats like 22.5 hours a day on average. Madness.

He is not, completely waste of time
He is only spec on his server and banning people, I can beat him easy
and he is only playing FFA....

 

Bearing in mind game time doesn't actually count for when you're playing the game, it just counts for when the application is running, so anyone can just have the game running in the background and do something else while the game time builds up.

 

Exactly, He isn't playing the game that much, Someone said its 22.5 hours a day for the last 2 weeks, which obviously is a hard core addiction or its just him leaving it running.

 

There is no doubt that he leaves it running, but has anyone elso done that for the last couple years and with more playtime than 20k or something??

This. I know someone who's racked up like 4000 hours, he said he'd always leave it on overnight cause the more hours you have, the more people want you to play with them.

 

People don't like cheaters and if you got many hours they trust you more
I don't like people playing to good and got like 100 hours, and their account is only a month old....

 

Its Idling and its a form of cheating, but doing it has no advantage than to show off, this is a fucked up kid indeed.

 

I don't think he's "A Fucked up Kid." Like I said before, my school friend has thousands of hours and he's a regular guy, just wanted to get into more matches without being abused for being a newb.

 

If people value their game time over their Electricity bill that's fine by me, as they have to pay for it. Saying that though, I bet 9/10 times it will be their parents to pay for it.

You're right though, it's nothing more than a status symbol. You'll get an initial "Wow, that's alot", but others may see it as sad, and that they have no life.

 

Me and a friend was playing on his server (wich he is spectating all the time). My friend got banned a week for bunnyjumping, after 10 mins playtime. So it seems like he is watching people often. It wasn't random since he does ban people alot, and cuz of that the server has become alot less popular...

EDIT: and also if you are a kid living home with your parents, you dont pay for it.. Lots of sleeping/school time where it can be idle in-game... This guy isn't but anyways a good way to get trusted in-game.
