Shit I hate - Tebow and the Jets; Manning and the Broncos

I hate hate hate when announcers or anybody else annouces the team as "[Quaterback name here] and the [team name here]". It's a damn team sport. Does it bother any of you guys?

 

Ehh, after a while you grow to just ignore it.
But really the QB makes the team, look at the colts when they lost Peyton, they weren't the same that year. The QBs are the star players.

 

Its just the way it is

 

QB's majorly impact on a game. Like justinkiller said, the colts were terrible without a starting quarterback. I do hate how they get like ALL of the credit often from fans. I think that the Left Tackle should be given more credit. Often they are on very high pay checks also. The left tackle defends the quarterbacks blindside, and if they don't perform then the quarterback is gonna have a bad time. All jokes aside, look at the bears vs packers. Clay Matthews was man handling their left tackle, and caused 3.5 sacks.

 

I agree completely that the QB is definitely a game-changing player but then again other positions can also impact the game greatly. Like Justin said, left tackles don't get much credit at all.

I guess it just bothers me so much because football is supposed to be a sport where you put your body on the line for your family (teammates) and when one person is put ahead of the entire family it kind of shatters that mentality for me.

Yeah I suppose. The fans may not realize it but the players certainly do, especially the coaching staff. I suppose that's all that matters but perhaps if more light were shined on positions that perhaps did not get enough recognition from the fan base, their morale would raise and they could play better potentially.
