Just my luck! - Ashaxx

Sorry to blind everyone with the bright colours​

I'm generally an unlucky person and in the past week especially there's been a few unlucky things happen to me...
Every time something good or bad happens I'll update this thread. I'll just write a brief description of what happened and date when it happened.
Not sure if you'll find this interesting or not but the idea just sprung to mind and might be quite interesting for you to see how much good or bad luck I have.

- 12th September 2012 -
Decided to sell my PS3 on eBay. It sold on this day and sold for a price higher than expected! However, the buyer didn't pay at all for 72 hours and then left bad feedback saying that his address was wrong? What the fuck? Bear in mind I'd sent him 3 e-mails and 5 receipts for him to pay the item in which he replied to none of and then suddenly left bad feedback telling me his address was wrong when he could have just sent me an e-mail back. He enters his own address on eBay when he signed up and he left me bad feedback? So, anyway on the 16th I could dispute the fact that he didn't pay and the bad feedback got removed (fortunately). But now I'm still left with a PS3 console which I can't re-list for a few days due to eBay policy and then hope it sells.

My best friends dad is selling his XBOX 360 so I decide to buy it. It was £65 and I thought it was a good deal. It had no scratches on it and when I got it back I was pretty excited to get on and play. Because of my own retardedness I realized I didn't have a wireless adaptor which I didn't take into account when purchasing so I have to buy that for £30. When my friend and his dad sold it to me they said it was 120GB hard drive. When I got it home it was 16GB hard drive? Got fucked over by my best friend. He said he didn't realize and his dad thought it was higher too. So I'm left with a shitty console which can't get online which I overpayed for and was lied to.

Got in touch with a driving instructor and will be starting driving lessons on the 20th! Woo, Something appears to be going right.

im going to assume its the older model xbox, which you can find the wireless adapter online for extremely cheap not 30 pounds. and while it does suck that its not 120 gb... i have filled up about 15gb of my 320gb console... 16gb is a decent amount bud.

 

Tell you whats unlucky. Failing your course, then finding out your auntie and uncle have been diagnosed with cancer.

 

Which model of xbox 360 is it? If it isn't a slim I'd try and return it in all seriousness. It is the only console that circumvents the red rings of death problem. As for the HDD space, you'll be fine. Unless you download lots of DLC 16 GB is plenty. If you want more you can just use an external HDD which is a lot cheaper than buying one specifically for your xbox and you can put movies, etc on it also.

 

Tell your friend's dad to refund you some money.

 

Yeah, I can get a used one for £15 on eBay which I may just end up doing
And it's more so the fact I was miss-leaded than not having the extra HD space. I overpayed for it.

So sorry to hear that buddy. I've had worst luck and better things happen to me than this but there's no point me listing all the good and bad things that have happened to me or people around me in my life as it will be a thousand page book. I've failed things and have had people I love pass away and have illnesses So sorry to hear about your auntie and uncle, I genuinely hope they make a speedy recovery mate ^_^

It the older white one. 16GB version. And yes I may just re-sell this and buy myself a better one. I've been watching a few on eBay so hopefully bag myself a bargain ^_^

Yes I did consider that. However, I'd rather not go through the hassle of that and chance looking like a dick. I'll just re-sell it and buy another one I'd rather not be looked at as the bad guy in this situation (although it's mostly his fault) so will just take my losses. I'm overly bothered by it as it's not a lot of money and I can re-sell it and perhaps lose a little, but I'm alright with that.
