Decimation BH (498) (Bounty Hunter)

Decimation BH is the final build of the decimation series.
Decimation BH (Bounty Hunter) is a pure 498 server (498's dates back to June of 2008)

I'll try to be very brief about the concept about the server on this thread, but the main idea is I planned to build a full on PKing server without losing the economic aspect. Decimation Bounty Hunter combines the ideas of a PKing server and economic server and makes them interdependent off of each other.

Items such as whips, dboots, dark bows, and other slayer related items are obtainable via slayer. Boss monsters such as General Graardor and Kree'ara drop respective drops such as the Armadyl and Bandos pieces.

You also receive slayer points based on your slayer level and the amount of monsters you kill a task, which you can use to exchange for caskets which also provide money in return with a similar formula.

The bounty hunter system features both PK points and bounty/rouge kills, and you may also purchase caskets with PK points (just like with the slayer system). There are discrete formulas for all these things and I could spend 20 minutes on this thread explaining them, but if you wan't to see them for yourself you can log onto the server.

Mini-games such as barrows and warrior guild are also available in a means of obtaining defenders or barrows items. (1/4 chance for barrows)

All levels may be set except for Prayer and Slayer. Prayer can be trained by using bones on the altar at home and Slayer is self explanatory. I was never a fan of grinding so that concept was not incorporated into this server.​

I will also be adding reduced shop prices/drop rates in the future once I come up with a reasonable formula. Was sort of in a rush to add contributor so that's why there's not a load of content for them yet.

Sanfew serums should have their right effect now (restoring prayer)
Zamorak brews have been added to the contributor shop.

I've played on here, it's a decent server, but kind of hard to make $$.

Combat in PvM seemed to hit less in than PvP so getting drops took longer than normal. Spawn times for monsters are lot longer than they should be, slayer exp is terrible compared to other servers. Not much of a big eco, trade hardly ever happens between players.

Probably 15-20 players on at a time.

Bandos is impossible to solo now, got nerfed. Arma is easy to solo, but drop rate is pretty high for a server where you don't start out with much but you can't make much $$ fast. So doesn't really make sense in comparison to other servers.

Otherwise, the server is a great idea, just need to fix the eco and how people earn money. Feel as if it was easier because some vet players are pretty rich, but those that have started to play in the past month are no where in comparison. Eco may have been nerfed,
drops, who knows.

Edit: Not a lot of people have much in the way of GP, more items then GP. You should have a shop that buys items such as barrows since you have a 1/4 rate, not many people need/want to buy there ahrims, dh, etc because of that rate. So people get stuck with multiple sets when they could use GP in order to buy supplies, other items such as bandos, ags, etc.

Definitly a work in progress, but could be a great server if drops, exp rates, and the hits are perfected. That's at least the reason why I quit, couldn't catch up to those that easily had the upper hand in BH pking due to what I stated above.

 

Prayer can now be set to 52, after that level, it must be trained using bones.
Barrows drop rate increased to 1/3
Slayer coin casket reward raised to: Slayer level * points invested * 180
Starter package increased to 3m, 2 rune sets, a d'hide set, 2 mystic sets, barrage runes, and a few bolts with a rune crossbow.
Whip/DFS/Godsword Drop Rate Increased.
Censor system implemented.

Contributors get a 10% bonus in drop rates now.

Rares will be dropped on the 28th of October, 10 days from now. (Weekend before Halloween)

I'll be introducing more and more updates like these to temporarily loosen up the economy so people can have an easier time getting items and getting more players active on the game. The drop rates will be re-adjusted once enough of them have been introduced into the game.
