oldschool coming back to play

so i havent played rs in about a 6-9 months so can someone explain to me some of the big updates like new armour/weapons and all that kinda stuff? thanks

Well, the game has had some big jumps from renovating the God Wars Dungeon to Make you actually have fingers. Go explore and look on the official rs forums

 

It's definitely changed a lot, you'll either love it or hate it, the majority of returning players find they hate it upon returning. Play it for yourself and see what you think.

 

i also recently started playing again... everything is so expensive now. i wish i bought santa or mask set before lol

the only major difference i notice is graphical but im sure there is a ton of new items monsters and training methods.

 

yea the game is dead lol, market is inflated, hard to make money, basicly like real life.

 

Well since most of these posts havent helped as far as what new content there is ill add my two cents, there has been a complete rework of GWD as far as graphics and what not goes and a pretty significant graphical update in the whole game. Theres a pretty new selection of new GWD related items out now as well, Bandos helm, gloves, shield, Armadyl cbow, gloves, boots and shield. There are new saradomin amulets that outclass the fury in their respective fields (mage range and melee atleast str bonus on the melee one its basically a glorified str ammy) but none of the amulets provide def bonuses so all in all the fury is still top dog basically. There are new zamorak robes/shield thing called the "robes of subjugation" which are just a litttttle bit better than ahrims and non degrading but the shield is pretty damn epic. Theres a new boss called Queen black dragon http://runescape.wikia.com/wiki/Queen_Black_Dragon thats only soloable and pretty damn hard, she is also important in forging yet another new crossbow called the royal crossbow (which is a cheap to use amazing cbow for pvm but horrible for pvp god knows why they did that -_-) along with a couple new quests. Im pretty sure that covers about everything that has changed in the past 6-7 months or so.

Its best to explore the New Runescape yourself and see the new updates for yourself.

I would recommend a tour to the gnome area as they have done a rather good job in the graphical overhaul there. Oh, and there's the God War dungeon as well.

 

That was the best description I've read, thank you. I also read something about a dragon kiteshield? How is that in comparison to the dragonfire or any other shields?

 

It's worse than the dfs, I think Jagex just released it for fanservice. Not really much point of it, other than to complete your dragon set.

 

Runescape trending towards Pay-2-Win. Trying to rinse members for as much cash as they can before game dies completely. Don't go back lol.

 

Oh yeah they released the dkite along with the QBD update, its nothing special no str bonus or anything and fairly mediocre stats. DFS is still best shield outside of the higher tier spirit shields and dung shields . It slipped my mind as its really nothing worth mentioning haha
