Paypal Chargebacks

Okay so.

I sold 50m rsgp for $25.

He placed ar chargeback today. What should I do?

I told him to send it as a gift. With a note. Payement for virtual items(RSGP) he added that note :\\. What should I do there are only 3 options on paypal.

Which are....
*I have shipped the item and I can provide proof that the item was shipped through an approved shipper to the address on the Transaction Details page.

*I have not shipped the item and I will refund the payment.

*I have refunded the payment for this transaction.


I tought paypal doesen't deal with virtual trades...

 

Just go with the top one and show them proof of you trading him the gold. Once you prove it was for a virtual trade, or usually once you mention virtual trade, they won't take the funds from you. They don't deal with those kind of trades.

 

:/ Most of the time virtual trades will lose the dispute.
Do what Dialatic said, but I wouldn't expect to win if I were you.

 

Any dispute I've had on me, I proved it was for a virtual good and I won. I have one on me now, and I called Paypal and told them how the other guy was lying and that it was for a virtual good, not a real item (he claimed he didn't receive it when it was Runescape gold that I delivered instantly). The representative said they normally don't touch the funds for virtual trades, leaving them where they were sent.

 

When you show that it is a payment for virtual items, paypal will normally rage at you because you asked the buyer to use the gift option, when it was clearly not a gift. Normally this + the fact that the buyer probably used a hacked pp account/vpn to pay you, will make you lose the case. But you can always try the first method of showing that you sent the goods.

 

This is why requesting as goods and using dispute & cancel method works.

You still get fees, but you won't get charged back.
