    Need Skateboard help!!

Hey sythe; So I used to skate a lot when I was younger. I was never good, being always a little taller than most kids my age WHILE being a tad.. husky :3

I wasn't bad either. While I was kind of a puss and was afraid of falling, having skated for about ~6 years, to this day, can not to a simple ollie :)

I used to surf too, I liked that more, but I loved just SKATING, no tricks, just to cruise. I had good ballence, so I was good at manuals :noworry:

Being almost 20, and paying for gas, I would like to look into getting a new board to use. But I need help.

I've always had decks, world industries :p ( i was a kid leave me alone haha i know they aren't that good of decks.. )

But now, having riden a few here and there, see myself fit for a cruising board... but i don't wan't a LONGboard, but not like a Penny brand either...

    I need some help/suggestions

    **I'm 6ft-5in 255lbs ( People can't believe I weigh that much, I'm not skinny, nor super fat :p )

Thanks guys leave comments! ;) :embar:

well i film so i guess you could call my setup a cruiser, if i was you i would look for boards from 8 to 8.5 and just look for a graphic you like (creature do nice graphics on wide decks), also a wide pair of indy trucks are nice and of course the OJ hotjuice wheels are just perfect, hope this helps

Highly recommend, even though you suggested not getting a longboard, get a "Larry Longboard Walkabout", with a LDP setup

Basically LDP setup is "long distance pumping" search it up on youtube, it's like straight cruising by using you're body to pump or push you, it's the best board for cruising, it's not a trickboard, give it a go as it's what I use to get around

You can't really ever learn to skate without falling....

But anyway, if you're juat gonna cruise why not just go ahead and get a longboard? Those are pretty much made for that.
I guess if you really want a skateboard, get a wider one for some stability.

If your not wanting a longboard i suggest a big ass old school board.. i got a vision psycho stick that i slapped some longboard wheels on and its still short enough you can use the tail and navigate by lifting the front wheels and what not. I like it much better than my long board as its much better to navigate with as its not as cumbersome. I pretty much only use my longboard to occasionally bomb hills but considering a put some 67mm wheels on my oldschool i dont really lose any speed between the two. heres a site where i got my board from: http://www.skatesonhaight.com/Old-School-skateboards-s/85.htm Your a big boy get a big board!!
