A problem with my Lloyds Tsb bank account

Hi, I have been dealing with RuneScape GP over mail for quite some time now and have accumolated a nice amount of money. I recently moved to UK for a while and deposited about 7,000 pounds in cash to my Lloyds Tsb account. The deposit was quick, no questions asked. I did do it in 2 increments and dealt with the same guy and at my second coming he asked me as a joke if I have a money factory.

I did the deposits in London. A month later I tried to send cash via online banking (3,000 pounds) and the transaction did not go through. I visited a local Lloyds Tsb branch in Gloucester and they informed me that all the money on my bank account has been frozen, I am left with literally pennies. To claim the money I would need to give them proof of where I got the money from. I was outraged when they told me that because in my opinion, they should never have taken the money from me in the first place if they require proof. I told them that the bank in Slovenia from which I withdrew the money could possibly confirm my withdrawal but they said that would not work.

Right now I am completely lost and don't even want to consider the option of not getting my money back. I do not know any of my rights as of yet but this all feels very twisted. I would like to know if any of you have any input on this before I consult a professional. Thank you.

I think you're going to have to consult with a professional as soon as possible on this one. Making profits off of selling RSGP surely isn't illegal, only against RuneScapes ToS. I've never heard of anyone being sued or taken to court over it. I know that people like R2Pleasent even pay taxes for the income that they earn, which means they must be going through some sort of legal process.

Speak to a professional, ask them that if you inform the bank of your gaming trading habits whether that will get you your money back. Do you have any proof of the transactions with customers? If you have a couple of MSN proofs, that may help you out a bit.

    Why not?
If you had withdrawn the money from that bank and have proof that you did, then there shouldn't be a problem.

Like Brendan said, go seek a professional :/

Use whatever possible method you can to prove it. If its selling/buying RSGP. Show them your account history of whatever service you use to buy/sell. If its BT, Than a Print out of an official Bank Statement from Slovenia should work, or Have slovenia contact them personally.
