When is the nuke?

I'm seeing all the prices rise in supplies. For example, prayer potions are doubled the price they used be and they wont buy a 5% more.

I just want to know when or if there will be one soon. So I can start hoarding on items as well.

 

To give you the words of Mod Emilee on the topic: She said that it's not going to be a "nuke" like last time where they launch the update and *poof* all the bots are gone. It's going to be a system that is constantly running and will be detecting and banning bots automatically using an automated system.

Jagex is having their Live Stream on Sunday about Bots and their new Anti-Bot system, so considering it is on Sunday, and RS has content updates on Tuesday, this new Anti-Botting system will be turned on (in addition with Botany Bay) either on next Tuesday, or the last Tuesday of the month.

This would mean either Sept 18th or 25th if Jagex releases it along with their normal content updates (which since Botany Bay is content, it should be).

Don't expect botting to stop, expect the numbers of bots to start diminishing. This will probably mean a relatively slow market improvement instead of a rapid one like the first Bot Nuke in October.

Basically no one knows but this is what the nuke will look like, as Trent said it isn't just a one off, its a new system they are implementing.

I'm actually excited for this, I've been playing legit for almost a year again now and I get so much more enjoyment out of the game.

 

I'm a little excited myself, but I wish I had my desired stats already.

However, (to go a little off-topic) I may be quitting when the EoC comes out because it'll basically nerf all pures and tanks. I really loved my tank and pure.

Its probably going to come out when the EOC is going to come out or a little before that tbh.

 

They've been announcing a a second bot nuke for ages now, they won't give us a specific date. I thought from this months behind the scenes it'd be this month, but honestly I wouldn't be surprised if it doesn't come out for a few months.

Be careful, I know a maxed player who had access to the High Level Forums (meaning at least 99 in everything) who was banned using iDung around ~110 or so dungeoneering.

Mod Mark already stated in his fanbase interview that the system would be released BEFORE the EoC, confirmed.

Actually, the only people who have mentioned an actual Nuke have been mods on the RSOF. Many of these mods have been corrected by more senior J Mods saying that the information that the other J Mods said was actually false. However, this is Botany Bay, not a full-on nuke. Mod Emilee even said that it's not going to be like before where the update is launched and 98% of bots disappear like that. This is an Automated Detection System, which will be running constantly, keeping track of what EVERY accounts in RS is doing. Most dangerously this system will be keeping track of the mouse coordinates of every player in RS. This means that if you're using a bot that does not succeed in producing mouse movements that pass as human, you are extremely likely to be banned. I know for a fact that RiD already passes as a human with its mouse movements from manual inspection (placing the movement path up on a graph and then determining whether or not it's human) which this new system will be doing automatically, but I am curious to see just how fast or how many bans other bot sites will be earning themselves.

Also, Mod MMG was quoted in the first official RS post on the homepage about this bot update, that we would be seeing it, "over the next few weeks." That means either the 3rd or last week of the month. The Behind the Scenes video also stated it would be released in September.
