i7 3770K vs. i7 3930K vs. Others!

Hey,

The 3770K is better in gaming, but the 3930K is much better in anything else..

Well, processing power is important for gaming but not too important, the graphics card is obviously the most important.

 

The 3770k isn't better for gaming? Where do you get that from, the 3930k is 6 core while the 3770k is 4 core, that's about the only difference. The 3770k is an improved version of the 2600/2700. And don't judge simply off cores, i7 4 core 2ghz per core would equate to about 8 cores 4ghz a core on the FX line..

 

Cores only matter if you actually make use of them which lots of programs do not for some stupid reason.

You're probably better off going for the Intel i5 2500k to be honest, it's cheaper and honestly more games support 4 cores than 6 or 8 cores these days. Graphics card is more important than processors in terms of gaming.

What games are you intending to play on it?

 

Uhmm i7 cuz I will do graphics maybe, and I will play like BF3 MW3..

 

Mw3 is an old engine, requires minimal hardware thanks to it being a complete console port/map pack of mw2. BF3 benefits off quicker CPU performance mainly in 64 player multiplayer maps, but anything more than 4 cores is not really going to be utilised.

More CPU power is only really going to help you in heavy 3d rendering/video editing, in which case you could also invest in a higher end Nvidia GPU for CUDA rendering.

Get an i5 2500k and be done. Overclock that if you must.

 

3930K is better.
