Several problems with my new computer build

Yeah once I got my custom build computer all set up and running.. I was disappointed with the speed.

    This is the build's specs

    Core i3-2120 3.3 Ghz
    8 GB corsair RAM
    Hd Radeon 6570 1gb gpu
    asus P8Z68-V lga 1155 motherboard
    200GB HDD (old one found)

The computer with 1GB of ram, and an old 2.2 ghz dual core processor is much faster. what....

My concerns are that the CPU is apparently running at 100C while in an air conditioned house(impossible..). I got a 3.9 WEI score for the processor too, and other people are getting 7.0+?. Also I bought a belkin wireless usb adapter and my speeds of downloading start off at 30 kb, then after a few hours rise to 200kb(the router is 500kb max though)? What the fuck is going on? Why me?

I bought the computer to max out runescape and it can't even do that? .

    I don't feel very good.

I'd guarantee the computer is slowing the processor to keep it from melting. 100c is when the computer should be shutting down to make sure no damage is done. You have the stock cooler?

Stock cooler is on and working. Listen to this (text). The first time the computer turned on the CPU tempature was 100 C. How is that possible...?

Edit: The CPU is pretty damn hot.. Everything was installed correctly I believe, Don't know where I went wrong though.

There's gotta be some kind of temperature recording error, that processor isn't exactly super powerful and should be fine even under a stock cooler. If it was at 100c it would be melted. Is the fan spinning fast enough?

Also, have you tried resetting the Motherboard?

Oh, and get rid of the USB adapter thing, get a wireless PCI card built into it instead. Also, aim for N speeds. You may need to upgrade your router also for this.

It's possible if your stock cooler isn't working right. Did you do thermal paste?

Turn it on with only the bare essentials connected.
    See what happens then.

If nothing changes, look inside to see if the fan is spinning.
Though even without a fan I am pretty sure a stock i3 would not be hitting thermal shutoff point.

Does it say 100C in the bios? or are you using a software?

    Try clearing your CMOS.

Do you have all your drivers updated?

    Try updating your BIOS?

If none of that works, ill get a little more in depth in figuring this out, but I think one of those ought to work.

The specs are fine, it's just the processor that's overheating. If you haven't already apply thermal paste on the cpu. The only other reason is that the cpu fan is defective.

Several problems with my new computer build

Fixed the CPU problem. The Motherboard + Case + Stock cooler wasn't really meant to seat the heatsink with ease, lots of fiddling around I needed to do. Everything on the computer is now working, but there's still that problem with the USB...

Downloading the RuneScape client at 25 kb SWAG

This is the product I have: http://www.bhphotovideo.com/bnh/controller/home?O=&sku=867142&Q=&is=REG&A=details

I'm also using an old wireless G router, I know the adapter has to slow down for the older model router, but 25kb really? Can get about 500kb with LAN connection (we only have 1mb internet).

Oh good, but N speed wireless is what everyone has today, honestly G is fading out and is just too slow. Have fun with your new PC.
