National Suicide Awareness Week - Wear Yellow 9/10/12

Well, it's a week long event but tomorrow is the main thing.

Pretty much, if ya'll want to show support for anyone that's struggled with self-harm/depression/suicide you should wear a yellow shirt.

Note: This may be national in U.S.A/not world wide, but it shouldn't stop anyone else living in other countries from participating.


TL;DR wear yellow on Monday September 10th.

 

I thought yellow was to support the troops. Why's suicide stealing their color?

 

I had no idea this was going on. I'll make sure to wear yellow tomorrow.

I would wear yellow, but work mandates black shirt black jeans black workboots.

 

It's being advertised throughout Australia, so I'm lead to believe a majority of the Western World are involved with this.

It doesn't really matter, there aren't enough colours for every cause anyway.

You can also write love on your wrist, it has the same meaning and I know many people doing both

 

Looks like I missed it.

I don't really know if it was publicized in New Zealand too much, sick at the moment. I'm sure I would have been invited to it on facebook or something though if it were something major over here.
